Cheap is a relative term. If total weight is 2-3 kg 80k-1L is normal cost. Cheap with compromises would be 60k-80k. If u want to carry 2-3 kg payload, 2-3 lakhs it will cost u minimum.

No you will not need so much but if you want to make a professional type which could carry 3-4 kg of playload you will need 40k to 45k but if you want to make simple but can carry atleast 1 to 1.5 kg you will need at least 12k to 15k. Here ( k=thousand).

I am a new bee and made my first drone quadcopter using ardupilot and simonk esc and standard bldc and gps available on net. however my drone is not becoming stable in any of the mode like loiter / althold or stabilize it always drift and looses stability after take off. as I read on net there are many problems with ardupilot and its outdated. should I buy pixhawk ?
