More than two years I'm doing this.. Till now I dint get ghee from shop.. I usually collect 2weeks of milk skin(paal aadai) and I will get 350 gms of ghee. Per month I will get 700 to 800 gms of ghee.. 👍👍

If you add curd you can see the difference. Without curd ghee will not give good smell after 1 or 2 weeks. But if you add curd it will give good smell till the last drop.

The liquid we get frm making butter is the orignal butter milk. The Siddha and Ayurvedic drs. recommend this for cooling the body and other medicinal qualities. Diluted curd is generally called butterfly milk and it is not good. Curd is a heat giving element in Indian medication eventhough it feels cool!

Add a bit of curd while you collect malai on day1. Like how we so it to prepare curd. Daily you have to add the malai and mix it well with the previous day's malai and keep out of fridge for couple of hours. When you take the butter on day 15, that remaining water separates from butter turns into buttermilk. No need to waste that water. You can drink that as buttermilk.
