The effect of this instructional video is that you will never forget this video and therefore remember the rules. The video was produced by the trade association that deals with forklift accidents. it's funny and chilling at the same time. you will never forget the rules again

Yeah these safety rules are there for a reason. Everyone who had to witness what a lathe does to a human is gonna be carefull around it.

This is an instructional video for forklift drivers but it's made with a lot of dark humor and yes, I saw it at work and it was part of my driver's license 😄🤣

Every future forklift driver in training in Germany has seen the “safety video”, everyone without exception. Since I also have a forklift license, I also saw it 20 years ago

Yeah ! This one is a legend of a video here in germany!😅
@jochendamm24 күн бұрын
It was meant to be a splatter movie and never concidered as instructional source. It is a parody on old instruction videos. The voice out of the off is a legendary moderator that hosted a show for traffic education for adults like car drivers called der 7. Sinn ("the 7. sense"). But it got so much popularity that it is used as actual instruction video how to not do it. Many instructors use it like that. But it is not part of the actual curriculum.

I had a hearty laugh. That's called dark humor. And there are some US or UK movies that also make fun of it, like Scary Movie or Shaun of the Dead
@morbvsclz24 күн бұрын
You kind of had the same reaction I had when I first saw it. First I though it's a boring instruction video. Then I though it was needlessly graphic. And then I started laughing because it is so clearly over the top and thus not actually horrifying anymore, but it turns into a kind of morbid "slapstick humor".
@pixelbartus23 күн бұрын
Germany has kind of a history with dark educational stories. Have a look to the original versions of Grimm's fairytales and how gory they were before Disney made them family friendly. Or "Struwwelpeter" (I think in English it's "shock headed Peter"). A colourful book for kids, with stories in which children starve to death, burn, or get cut off fingers and something like that, when they don't behave properly. From this base "forklift driver Klaus" is not far away
@helloweener200724 күн бұрын
"is this a horro movie?"" No it is a splatter movie made in the style on an safety instruction video. And the gore is so much over the top that it is funny.
@ralfbauerfeind823620 күн бұрын
Especially the start is like the educational videos they use to educate future forklift drivers in the 80s... There is a making of of that video when you buy it on DVD that is over twice as long as the movie.
@denzelpanther2407 күн бұрын
it is actually used when getting your forklift license. everyone i know got shown this vid when they made their license. it DOES help to stay aware of the danger
@ralfbauerfeind82367 күн бұрын
@@denzelpanther240 It is not mandatory, though. Still, there are very few if any at all not showing this. There sure are things to learn here. And as we say in German: "Wer zu sonst nix zu gebrauchen ist, kann wenigstens als schlechtes Beispiel dienen." (Who is not useful at all can at least be used as a bad example.) 😏
@helloweener20077 күн бұрын
@@denzelpanther240 Yes. I think so but it is not a part of the DEKRA education for forlift drivers. But I totally get it why it ill get shown.
