Indians Spent Record $31 Bn Overseas In FY24; Remittances Flow World's Highest At $125 Bn

Indians are on a travel spree. We have broken records in terms of overseas spending in FY24. Under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme or LRS in FY24, Indians spent a record $31.7 billion overseas, marking a nearly 17% increase in FY23. The data from RBI suggests that this surge comes despite the imposition of TCS.
