Other countries have minimum payment rate as 7$-13$ hourly. India doesn't even have one. Minimum is like 2000 rupees per month where students can't even afford rent if they move to another city within India. If other nationals work in India, they can't earn the same as us but If hard working indians were born in any other country, they would do well too hence while buying Indians will always think what is the value of this bag really? It is not that LV bags cost that much to manufacture. The price is like 50 times higher with no safety compartments for a bag just some hand stitched quality leather. You could buy handbags for 40$ per 2 years for 20 years and not even that amount comes close to the price they are selling LV at. It is better to donate money to people than buying high end products. After all its just a status symbol. Celebrities are given those bags for free either ways. Everything is just marketing only. So the importance of penny is known to every Indian and also maths. I don't think anyone minds spending their money on quality products instead of high status symbol products.

Actually, Chinese buys most LV of any country in the world with 40% of the LV are expected to be purchased by a Chinese person in 2025. I personally own 4 LV purses and wallets and a few Chanel and YSLs. But every Chinese I know does also own at least 1 fake LV though 😅

May I ask, what is the appeal? I personally hate branded products. If they were the quality for the price maybe. But so often you're just paying for the label and the quality is worse than KMart. Ok, maybe not Kmart, maybe Bed Bath and Beyond quality. Is the appeal of branded products just for the status? Or do you have other reason? Peace ✌️

I think because high-end brands like LV is a status symbol for many people. Like in China it is hard to obtain designer items because most people cannot afford it. Therefore if you own one, you are “special” compared to most people in China, because it looks fashionable and expensive, and you will stand out in a good way. Especially if you’ve never been able to afford a designer item, being able to buy your first high-end brand item feels good and some people get addicted to feeling “special” so they buy a lot more. Just my opinion.

i know that well, we just had the dutch invasion here in germany, as we call it, like every year, when they flod our shops and outlets... they come with nothing, they even buy the suitcases here... the entire 3 weeks before christmas and the first week of january, all you hear is dutch... staff in stores get excited and happy to hear another language for a change when someone else happens to walk into this mess.
