1,100 Rohingya Muslim Refugees To Be sent Back By Bangladesh, Calling Them ‘Burden’ & ‘Problem’

A Myanmar government team arrived in Bangladesh on Thursday as part of a mooted pilot scheme to repatriate around 1,200 of an estimated one million Rohingya refugees.
The refugees have been stuck in ramshackle camps in southeastern Bangladesh since fleeing a 2017 crackdown by the Myanmar military that is now subject to a United Nations genocide investigation.
Rohingya refugees found a sympathetic welcome in Bangladesh when they fled the soldiers rampaging through their villages -- but five years later, the hostility they now face has left them pondering a dangerous return home.
Much has changed in the time since 750,000 members of the stateless Muslim minority escaped neighbouring Myanmar, the survivors of a horrific crackdown now subject to a UN genocide probe.

Hello. Indonesia accepted and send them back to the sea due to them not being able to cooperate with the villagers . They were causing some chaos within the village and has no respect towards the villagers who accepted them with warm heart. Indonesians are warm welcoming people to anyone especially muslims. But it’s just this case is different . I’m not a local that accepted them but that’s what i heard from news. If they were to have good behaviours and able to cooperate. We would have build together a community together with them . But it is what it is.

I'm from Thailand, they are a huge issue to refugee center, they're extremely demanding, act like freeloader. They refuse local food, and instead protest to get more meat (not local common dish) coffee and snack. Every responsibility is on the local worker/Volunteer who have to face their unreasonable demand on daily basic, It's pointless to reason with them as their prefer destination is either Malaysia or Indonesia and refuse to even help with shelter quality of life work. I've good Malaysian friend and they're fed up with Rohingya too, my friend used to send their local news link to me and I did read it using translator. They're horrible to Malaysian as well. We've accepts many refugees in our modern history and they're reasonable enough, unlike Rohingya.

In fact, Chittagong Muslims and hybrid Muslims modified themselves as Rohingya Muslims in Arakan ( Rakhine) in Myanmar in July,1949. These Muslims were 155,000 only in 3 townships of Arakan division ( 16,001 sq ml) in 1970. These Muslims ( about 600,000 ) are still living at townships in Rakhine state,Myanmar in 2023. And began to settled down at there since 1872. When colonial British Left Burma for UK in 1947, About 400,000 Bengali and Chittagong ( mostly Muslims ) are remaining in Regions in Burma and Arakan ( Rakhine) division ( 16,001 sq ml) in 1948. According to 1931 official census of British govt in Burma, The total population has reached 1,008,535 in 4 districts in Arakan ( Rakhine- 16,001 sq ml) in Burma in 1931. Total Muslim population ( locals and immigrants) were 225,361 / 255,469 amid 1,008,535 of 1931 census. According to Burmese censuses in 1973,1983, # the total population has reached 1,712,838 in Arakan division ( 16,001 sq ml) in 1973 and # the total population has reached 2,045,559 in Rakhine state ( 14,001sq ml )in 1983 including total Muslim population ( locals and migrant Muslims) 582,984 in 1983. So, Muslim population ( local kaman Muslims,Rakhine Muslims/ Chittagong Rohingya Muslims/ Bengali Muslims/ Some Muslims of India and pakistan origins are remaining as minority group in Rakhine ( Arakan) in 1948-1965.
