This happens in most Indian companies be it banking or IT. Without a video recording or concrete evidence, nothing can be done against these culprits. Most of the times the HRs collude with these managers to suppress and hide the issue and instead escalate against the employee who complained. Without social media this would keep happening as it has been for eons.

This is just one man who was brave enough to record this. Imagine how many companies are suffering the same and nobody knows yet. It is something which needs to be taken care of urgently. It really affects the individuals mental health and demotivates the individual to be a part of any companies anymore which would ruin their career because of this reason
@supratiksarkar1195
@supratiksarkar1195 4 ай бұрын
The one who recorded is neither brave norr anything. If he was the boss he would have done the same if his CPI score was less. It's the market which drives this behaviour as it's extremely hard to operate a business and make profit in India especially in Bengal. You have to give haftas to political parties, on top of that tax, employee benefits. So companies aim for high profit, else they will wither away.

I once met a very senior management person who revealed their dirty working methods. In annual goal setting meeting they give such unrealistic goals where implicitly everyone knows are very hard to achieve. But due to fear of loosing job no one asks " are you out of your mind for setting such goals?". At end of year even if 25 % of that goal is achieved the company earns huge profit and management is free to screw the person for not achieving the remaining unrealistic 75 %. Dirty minds need to be punished.

If this comes across as something new to someone then the person has no idea how private banks, insurance, telecom and few more industry verticals operates when it comes to business targets. This is how they function in India. Having worked with a company of similar nature I've gone through this hell. It sucks the way they conduct their businesses.

The US Govt had set up Sarbanes-Oxley committee to revamp corporate governance in the US. The committee tersely attributed the fall of Enron corp to a single line " Tone at the top". This applies in all situations in an organization. If leadership tacitly supports such rude behaviour keeping an eye of the achievements of such rude managers then obviously you know what percolates. I have heard stories of former HDFC Bank chairman, Aditya Puri used to regularly humiliate his coterie. Since Aditya Puri was the star performer at HDFC Bank, his rude behaviour was ignored

In Pharma companies as a medical representative if you failed to achieve the target same things happens... some time because of job threat we have to do Adjustment with the stockist (eg. If I couldn't achieve my Target than to save my job I have to give money from my salary to the Distributor so he place extra order ,for 100000 order someone have to pay almost 10/20% of the total value of order) and the irony is that everyone from top to button knows everything.

In this video at least they lash out only verbally. But in printing industry when a printer job runs off track, such seniors or even the owners physically best the employees sometimes openly on the shop floor. Hope someday someone makes their video and makes it viral since now a days it is easy to record this .
