Indie: Fear Eats The Soul | or | How Film Culture is Holding Cinema Back
In this short brain fart, I detail why film culture is holding cinema back, which is essentially a problem with film criticism.
Seems this is a triggering opinion. As the video explains, people can often react to fear (in this case a fear of change) with aggression, which I witness when sharing this on Facebook. Many seems to very angrily think that world of cinema can only work one way and there's nothing we could or should do about it.

Dude. You killed it. There's a lot here that's been bouncing around in my head that I don't find anyone truly saying. "We'll need to make it ourselves." That's true, man. Too many times us young folk look at the world and can't stand to motivate ourselves to change it. The good word of cinema needs to be spread. It is a word of courage, love, and beauty. If the culture tides against it, than it's us, the creators of a grass roots movement to let that word live again, who will bring it to that glory.
