Becoming a game developer is simple. Choose a famous game engine like Unity and keep studying and studying. And you become an Unity engine expert and game developer. Like many sports professionals just choose one sport.

Sadly, getting a game developement job in South Korea is over. Nobody knows how to make a complete game and what are the needs to recruit people. Companies just want a young dude who works for lowest payment with valanteering for free over time. Only way to become proper game developer is become indie dev in South Korea. Where are the old experienced + skilled game devs? they left South Korea lol

Do science study very well in 11th 12th. If you really want pursive career in gd. Then choose Computer science or Information technology field. This both are best field but game development is the field which you have to do the best from yourself. Degree doesn't matter much but skill definitely

In the same way it is not possible to make statistics with one (or a few) sample . We call them "exceptions" for a reason :)

Notch is an exception, for one successful Notch there are 100,000 others that failed. I'm not saying this to discourage people I just want people to know what they are getting into so they can prepare. most game developers are hyped by their dreams how millions of people will play their game and the only thing they need to do is build the game and that's it. But it's not how things work.

Why does everybody act like solo is the only indie? If youre not even trying to make your own studio of course a game can take 5 years and still end up a flop.
