his paintings of russian country side with horses are breathtaking; no one has painted like him; his bold use of black and white and primary colours is just breathtaking; can never see enough of his work

PLEASE FORGIVE my ignorance, but I was under the impression that abstract expressionism was created in America after WW2. This video states that it was created in Europe in the early 1900’s. Could someone clear this up for me please?

could Kandinsky ACTUALLY draw and paint with the skill of a true artist? or can he only create colorful inventive doodles?
@psychophelia55685 жыл бұрын
firstly he did inpresionist and more realistic paintings..

Could Pollock actually paint or was did he compensate by splattering paint on the canvas? The answer is yes he could paint and like Kandinsky he could paint damn well and demonstrated more conventional techniques in his early works but eventually they both 'found their voice' and developed their own style.
