Indeed nice scenery. Did remind me of an other volcano i did visit 'El Teide' on the Island of Tenerife. Did went till 3300m high with great feeling the altitude. But you guys were there pretty much alone it seems, must be even better ))

I think your channel is much better than any other travel channel here on youtube. Youre not an annoying couple with a selfie stick yelling hysterically and smiling their idiotic fake smiles in every thumbnail. Youre not some little shirtless jerk in Greece or some other luxury beach resort (where the water is an overly saturated blue) promoting themselves in their video that is so overly edited you dont actually see whats going on. Youre just a guy who obviously loves going to new places - places that are much less traveled. You go by yourself. Your commentary is actually informative. The video is about the place - not about you. You always show respect and you interact with locals. Youre not pretentious at all - thats so rare! And you keep it real and honest - Ok, some of your earlier videos I found a bit annoying because you edited in a lot of movie scenes and references, a bit overdone in my opinion. But thats totally forgivable. Keep up the good work! Youre the only travel channel I actually like!

Valdivia is the chilean venezia this city is only 5 meters over the cea level and on the 60s was devastated by a big earthquake and a tsunami. Was all under the cea.

Amazing! that was the Osorno Volcano next to Lake Llanquihue (one of the largest lakes in Chile) and the other was the Calbuco Volcano just next to Puerto Montt, beautiful places indeed. Chile is a mountainous country, many volcanoes also, from time to time, some of them wake up and make a beautiful but powerful show (see this well-known eruption of Calbuco in 2015: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z3XQmnyart6oepo ). I hope you enjoyed Chile and come back someday, greetings!

those cracks are called crevasses! The dangerous parts are where two or more crevasses meet and they form seracs, which are big columns of ice that can crack and fall. While it is dangerous to hike over glaciers (because snow can cover up the crevasses and collapse when you step on it) it's usually not a big deal if you avoid walking over the steep and fractured parts of the glacier and Osorno isn't a particularly dangerous hike! You probably needed a guide to avoid the dangerous parts though. If you continued to the base of the glaciers you could've probably see some ice caves, they're pretty cool

a good friend of mine died after he made the summit of the Ozorno in February 2008 by fallen over a cliff on the top of the mountain, fast rescue was not possible because of bad weather conditions in the Night, so he not survived, I never forget this, very sad for the whole family, his wife and his small children

@Indigo Traveller @Nick: Epic could be a word well used to describe what you left outside of your series. How come you did not hitchhiked, rode, walked on the Carretera Austral all the way South to Villa O'Higgins? That is the most scenic and intense covered nature part of chilean patagonia. A couple years back I did it and till today is one of my favorite places to meet people, learn about their food and culture (Fiestas Costumbristas) and camp/hike/rest by the Andes. Anyway, I hope that one day you make it South again and visit Argentina and Chile on the Patagonian landscape.
