How many foreign travelers did you see in Ethiopia? And how's the wifi? Are you uploading these from there or have you moved on?
@ChristianTeshome6 жыл бұрын
hey my bro you can find wi fi on several hotels around town, especially in Addis, the capital city. You can also buy a 3g/4g sim. 700mb -> 60 birrs(2.2USD) at the moment
@IndigoTraveller6 жыл бұрын
I saw the odd Traveller, very rare though. WiFi is terrible. Only 3g some cards but owned by government and extremely unreliable internet, see my video called shocked in Ethiopia, I talk about internet there🙏
@GabrielTravelerVideos6 жыл бұрын
Cool man, good to know, I'll have to watch that one. Sounds like a good place to have one of those mobile hotspot devices, there's one called Solis that has been recommended. Although I'm not sure how it works, if it uses cell signals then maybe it's still slow there anyway. Whenever I turn my phone into a hotspot here in Greece to get internet it's super slow.
@IndigoTraveller6 жыл бұрын
Hotspot is fast if your provider is fast that's all it depends on. If you use mobile wifi in Ethiopia it will most likely still be slow but worth a shot I guess!

Solo-female traveler here! So many of these places you visit are high on my bucket list. I am heading into Africa this winter, but the furthest east I've been is eastern Turkey. I loveeee the eastern vibe and am itching to go to Iran, Iraq, and Pakistan, particularly. I think the scariest part for me is vlogging in public...of all things, I just can't bring myself to do it as it it feels sooo weird talking to myself. I am learning a lot from you! As always , this was awesome! Lots of folks I know go to All Inclusive Resorts nearby and think that they have visited Mexico . Not until you do like you are doing here ! One of my fondest memories here was of a trip across town a new friend took us on in the back of a horse drawn cart. Not one of those passenger deals, but a real farm cart. He was taking us to meet the lady I would eventually buy this property from and she reminds me every time I see her that I arrived in a farm cart, so she had to listen to me , and even though she was reluctant to , she sold me this place we live in !

David Armitage yea it’s crazy that people don’t realize just how much culture is hidden in this place. There’s a reason Ethiopians are specifically mentioned in the Bible. The Entire area was at the center of African development for a long time and its one of the few countries not to be officially colonized. If you want to see some true African cities you should look at Somalia. I wouldn’t recommend visiting but they have some of unique styles as well.

It is easier in the sense of communicating but definitely meet up with family down there. This was a couple years back since I went but I remember my experience being around 15-16 a lot of the habesha men in the predominant area's where all the guys hang out would be very disrespectful (but it's the norm for them) to grab you if needed and all that.
