😭 *I am pretty guttered about losing some of the clips* that I got at the coffee farm(SD Card problem) that showed and explained more detail of the process, however, this is the first time that this has happened to me (touch wood), so I guess after over 260 videos I can't be too upset about it! I learnt so much about the coffee process here which is great as I will know more about something that I drink every morning without fail. Please forgive the oversimplified version of the process that you see in this video, there is so much more to it! Thank you, Kenya for an unforgettable time! Any guesses on what country I am heading to next? 💗🇰🇪🤓

You've done such a beautiful job of showing the way of life of the Kenyan people and the day to day life of the common man. To the ignorant folks asking the Indigo Traveler to show the 'other side' you might as well as do it yourself, if I wanted to visit a country I would be more interested in its' culture and not infrastructure! The friendliness of the people of Kenya depicted in this videos is overwhelming and welcoming, I've enjoyed watching my country from your point of view... Thank you Sir!

Does your camera have a dual slot for recording? As a professional photographer , I have lost a whole photo session once. As a result I use the second slot entirely as a back-up. I find with the new cards for the video and still cameras, there is more than enough room. I do not delete the back-up until I have the video footage copied 2x. At the most you are carrying extra cards to record footage. I have several photographer friends who do the same thing as I do, piece of mind and preservation of your hard work.

Kenyan AA coffee is the best it is sold by auction weekly in Nairobi. They are sold in stores like java and tuskys anybody with money can afford. Unfortunately coffee does not fetch money to the farmers because of this system many farmers are uprooting them.

So what do they do if all the beans did they tell you the ones that are black before being roasted that they discard or pick and separate what did they do with those beans I imagine there’s got to be something some kind a use for them especially the part of the world they don’t waste nothing special with that hard work really talking about the hard work involved!!! Being a westerner I cannot imagine nor could I stand there watching a woman picking up weight like that and for all those feminist out there I’m not saying that it can’t be done because those ladies are doing it but it’s just that old school thing that you protect women and you do the heavy lifting and I know cultures are different and I know if everybody there is trying to make a living but it was just hard for me to watch those women doing all that work and knowing five Years 10 years tops their bodies are going to be completely broken down makes you not want to drink coffee but at the same time when you think about income and surviving it does create jobs and I assume they’re not forced to be there
@charitycherono74156 жыл бұрын
American Gooeyduck I work at a coffee farm here in Kenya, you see where they have been put in the sun they divide them into three the white ones which are Grade 1 that’s mainly for export, Grade 2 is medium a mixture that can’t really be neither black or white and Grade 3 the black ones all are left in the sun for sometime then cooked but those are mainly sold locally, so no no coffee beans are wasted
@bantuvoicemuchaikinuthia25366 жыл бұрын
It's not forced....I love my Kenyan ladies (read kikuyu women)they..(we Kenyans) are hard working... Women though bear the unfair Brant. They got kids to take care off...I remember hating going to rural farm in December ... The work is overwhelming . .You have to take the coffee immediately after picking. Otherwise it will lose value. I can tell you it not easy.. especially when the factory is 10 kilometers away..And you are taking 90 kg sacks via a very uncooperative ass(read donkey)the men do this. Off lifting like 20 sucks and weighing them...Aside from picking...My god ..Fun but existing...The fun part is the sex with picking girls in the coffee bushes. You must understand picking coffee is a long tiresome task..Lots of flirting goes around when the two of you are in an isolated Bush trying to pick the most you can..In most cases you take some scrumptious rest comforting each other 🙈🙈🙈
@Mianzi-bloom6 жыл бұрын
Yes, I agree American Gooeyduck. There are better ways of lifting those bags. Women even carry huge sacks of potatoes from the bus stop to the market. The years ahead will be tough on the backs. Even a two wheeled cart is a great start.
@janetnjeri12606 жыл бұрын
they are not forced to be there.....there are no slaves in our country.....they have families to look after
@Mianzi-bloom6 жыл бұрын
@@janetnjeri1260 An employer has a responsibility of taking care of the employees to enable them to work in a way that will not be harmful to them. If the only job you could find was that one, would you be ok carrying those sacks knowing the damage they would do to your health longterm?
