This music is SCOTTISH, for christ's sake, being played on modern amplified instruments. How in the f can you confuse it with anything "native". Grew up in the culture, live the lifestyle, know the real music. Listen to the Red Bottom, or Blackfoot Singers, or the hundreds of other groups out there that play real "native" music. Or just go to a pow-wow they have em nation wide you know.

But is it done in a native way with the instruments and singing . I know all about the origin of the piece of music but I was really enjoying the style it’s being played in . ✌️ 🐺

@@patrickallen8678 yes I love the music! I happen to be a decentant of BOTH cultures! (One grandfather with braids, the other with fire red hair) I've learned a great appreciation of both cultures, but my heard break is; that there are 2 generations of natives of that don't speak the language, or understand the concepts of their non western culture. A culture that lived on and managed the North American continent, with no lawyers, bankers, central government, money, disease, pedophilia, incest, and damn little conflict. As far as the music itself: Robbie Robinson of The Band. (Dylan's early touring band) Who is also a Mohawk, cut an entire album of traditional native music, with Red Road, with guitars and other non traditional instruments run through amplification. Some of it in english as well as several native languages that turned out great. Playing For Change has also included traditional drum and singing groups in some of their ensemble pieces to great success.

As someone of Cherokee and Choctaw ancestry I remember my Grandmother telling me to always embrace my native blood! I truly hope I’ve not let her down as I’ve always tried to live my life in an honorable way! She told stories passed to her from her great grandparents of the trail of tears that were passed down to them! What was done to our native people can never be rectified! I can only pray to the Great Spirit that he forgives those who forced my ancestors from their homes and caused so much pain suffering and death! May all my native Brothers and Sisters find peace and happiness as they travel the Red Road!

Pretty much what Bible says too. God is the Great Spirit. Well, not like we think he is - but how he explains it. Just we need to get along in that renewal of the world. Each of us need s to repent our own evil, let him heal us, so we can be part of the future world, when he creates the new Heaven and new Earth. That why Jesus came: to give us access to the renewed world. In him God was here wiith us. Why? Because we didn't much listen, when nobody had seen him, except the first man and woman. I'm not here to argue - and especially not to put down the American Natives. Exploiting thieves will get their just punishment. Just telling God does exist, so we don't need to let anything else fool us. And it's not enough fo somebody use his name. If he misuses that name, that comes from not really knowing him. So he or she will not have a part in God's future world. Those who exploited and cheated the natives of the Americas will not be in his Kingdom. Most of them at least. Tse who repented, got saved. Not because they, or us, deserve it - but because we all need it.

This performance speaks of peace and love and nothing evil. The movie was sad, but the music was so beautiful. No one in their right mind could not love this music. I love this performance more than all the others. Let us love one another and embrace a peace that God wants all of us to have.
