this made me tear up 🥺 it's sad how even many of us indians look down upon ourselves and hold other countries on a pedestal yes it's true it may look like we're nowhere close to the eastern countries in terms of waste management development etc. but we're actually doing pretty good 🥺 and if i were given a chance to be born/live anywhere else in the world i'd choose right here coz i don't think i'd be happier in any other place 🥺 also i feel like in general us humans need to try and eliminate superiority and inferiority complexes. In our country the voting power of women was never a matter of question but we naturally got it without having to ask for it. This shows the actual position of women in the society an her important role any society as how it is perceived in us in the back of our mind due to our cultural values even though some of the social customs and lifestyle had to be changed and had to compromise in those matters due to centuries of repeated invasions in many forms and many types by different people. I am an indian doing this comment..there is a good and bad side of our country...all the points she made is true...but trust me you dont wanna get caught on the bad side...our internal law enforcement is weak and malleable to money and corruption giving space to such crimes against women..the basic principles of our tradition and culture,be it in practices or in the constitution cant even be compared to any other countries in the world,one of the best. Proud of our freedom fighters and being an indian. Jaihind!!
