instead of modifying the AGM-158G JASSM XR active radar homing air-to-surface land attack cruise missile the navy could might as well upgrade the existing AGM-84E Harpoon II semi-active radar homing anti-ship missile . . . double the warhead & jamming free guidance system to target . . . in order to achieve one-shot-one-kill target elimination regime . . .

Missiles, missiles, missiles. Australia shouldn't be buying tanks, we should be upping our purchase of LRASM, JASSM-ER and PrSM. Thousands, not hundreds.

yep, but the numbers will be low and the roll out slow.. this is Australia were more concerned with hospital beds nurses wages and the minimum wage.

And fire them from what? Australia needs a much larger navy fleet. 3 destroyers and 9 Hunter class ain't going to do shit. Aircraft don't have range either no carrier to give them range.and we don't have a long range bomber China can hit us from its man made islands from the south China Sea. Australia needs a larger fleet off warships. The army still needs tanks and IFV 30 tanks off the 155mm self propelled howitzer k9 thunder Australia calling the k9 huntsman. Is needed. It gives Army mobile artillery support. And towed artillery cant always be manoeuvred quick enough Australia army don't buy tanks for tank battles. They used for artillery support when they engaged in combat that's why ADF don't have 100s off tanks and only have 75 M1 A2 sep3 Abrams. And building only 30 off K9. Helicopters and aircraft can't always bring ground support either It's crucial for the Army to have some tanks. Our IFV M113 are also very old and dated. From the 50s and 60s. They have to be replaced. They should been replaced a decade ago but Labor government under Julia Gillard and Rudd cut 17.4 billion a year on defence. RAN was in such bad shape they even had one Anzac frigate dry docked for 2 years because they had no funding to put it to sea under Rudd and Gillard government

I doubt that very much, maybe just except that the Neptune flying at 15ft is to hard to pick up by Russian ships like Moskva?, and the frigate admiral Makarov was sunk aswell.
