It's kinda weird, about a few months before I started seeing the ads I kept wondering why no one had done it yet. Was an idea I had as a kid but unfortunately never got into metalworking/CNC or firearm engineering. You know, the whole "I had the idea just not the capital/skills/tools/drive". Wonder how many other people had the idea until GOAT did it.

My Uncle's (My Dad's Older Brother) one-time commanding officer was the same guy who was the captain of the Khukri, he deliberately chose to go down with the Ship since some of his crew had been killed in the torpedo attack and he felt it wouldn't be right for him to escape when some of those under his command had died. He went down the Khukri, apparently, he refused to be dragged off by his crew who wanted to save him and chose to go down with the ship. Peer to peer? Pakistan's navy was nowhere near parity with the Indian navy. All of what's written above conveniently ignore that this happened when Pakistan was embroiled in a bloody civil war where the country's majority population (Bengalis) was fighting the minority population (West Pakistanis did not constitute Pakistan's majority population). Being armed with the top of line Soviet war material (while Pakistan was reeling under the US military sanctions) and having a numerical advantage of 15:1 in the Eastern theatre (Manekshaw himself accepted), the conception of a country that was 1,000 km away from West Pakistan inhabited by the majority population of united Pakistan (Bengalis) and manned by a mere REGULAR military strength of 45,000. Do also shed some light on 1962 when a region the size of Switzerland was liberated by the Chinese in a swift conflict where nothing was stopping the PLA from even whisking away Arunachal (South Tibet), not the Indian army at least.

If the UN says that your border is such and such and you don't like it, then you either litigate the issue with them and see if you can make them change their mind or you shut it and accept the fact that you didn't own that piece of land. After the attack on INS kirpan, INS khukri changed course, increased speed and came rushing towards the last known position of PNS hangor to press for an attack but PNS hangor had a sonar that outranged INS khukri's own sonar, which resulted in PNS hangor detecting INS khukri first and they knew it's heading towards them so they changed mode and fired torpedo towards the incoming but unsuspecting khukri, INS khukri's sonar was technologically inferior to the sonar of PNS hangor, couple it with the fact that khukri's sonar required it to move slowly for it to work properly and it resulted in INS khukri detecting the incoming torpedo too late and with such short range the ship failed to maneuver and avoid the torpedo, Later the Indian Navy's inquiry also found that the ship had not followed the Indian Navy's anti submarine doctrine properly

You failed to mention 2 of events in PNS Hangor's records: Hangor fired a torpedo towards Kirpan when it was coming for rescue of Kukri, a loud explosion was heard which indicated the torpedo has strucked but later it was found that the ship did not sank. Immediately after this engagement the Indian Navy launched a massive hunting mission against Hangor and dropped depth charges indiscriminately. @@heatengine9283 Numbers don't define wars. Wars aren't a dick-measuring contest of seeing who got more kills and destroyed more enemy vehicles. Wars are decided by one thing: did it reach it's goals. 47 was a stalemate. The only time Pakistan gained territory was when J&K was a Princely State. Then, the Indian Army was airlifted into Srinagar. Soon, the war was an uneasy ceasefire. '65 was largely an offensive by Pakistan which was handled well by the Indian Armed Forces, though it served as a wake-up call to Indian intellgence, since IB was not as good as IM, which later became ISI. Let's not speak on '71. '99 was one of the biggest mistakes Pakistan ever made. Got pushed back across the LOC, drew international condemnation and a general logistical nightmare for the Pakistani forces.
