I hate to do this. One part of me feels bad that this may take away customers from a business especially now during a pandemic. But I’d also hate for people to waste their money on a suit like I did. It’s currently my second most expensive suit but the lowest quality and biggest headache from ordering to having the final product.
I know I’ll probably get some hate for this review. I just wanted to be honest. You may have a different experience then me. Your suit may end up fitting and feeling better. If you get an Indochino suit, I hope your suit and experience is better than mine.

I have several high end suits. Canali blue, zenia, hi hey freeman (20-25) my build is athletic. I purchased my first Indochino suit as well as a couple of shirts and was very impressed with the quality and the affordable cost. I am a customer for life. Love my super 140’s suit.

I deliberated for months about tailored suit options. I watched loads of videos on you tube and ultimately decided to get a suit made by a local tailor. It's one of the most precious items I own. I fits like a glove. And I only really spent double on what I would have forked out on one of these online options which I realise now are over complicated and risky. My advice would be. save up a bit more and just go and get a suit made by a tailor. It's hassle free, hand stitched and so much more personal. Great video.

I used to have Joseph A. Bank do my suits/tuxedos, but when they left town, I was stuck until I discovered Indochino was at Nordstrom. I have just got my fourth Indochino product and it fit perfectly. The only fix needed was a hemming of my trousers legs. My Style Guide treats me as if I am his only customer (I do happen to know that I’m one of his favorite customers because I don’t make his job overly difficult like some other guys he deals with) and the result shows every time. I believe that these suits will last more than ten wears. If a suit fails like that, it would be a disaster for any company, not just Indochino. Do yourself a favor and try them again, only get a suit of sturdier fabric (they make them). You might be surprised how a better fabric holds up through many wearings. Just remember to work with a style guide to achieve your desired results.

I cycle through multiple suits every week and I would hope that each one lasts for at least a decade and a half, or more. Quality garments are expected to last even longer than that with proper maintenance.

Honestly ive bought about 6 suits from IndoChino and pretty much all were fantastic. Now I went for Charcoal flanne, Prince of Wales, Navy Blue, and herringbone. All these fabrics were really high quality. This was a few years back. I do agree on the measurements side of things. Unless it something structural arm and legs length should always be done with a local tailor...

Great review!!! A lot of thing should’ve been changed on the suit by the re. The buttons are too high for your body. Their rep should’ve noticed that tailored that to you. Also the bottom part of the back of the jacket is too high. It should cover the rear end. The lapels are also to narrow you. All of these should’ve been noticed and changed by the rep.

I’m glad you were able to. I have another suit review for a company called NCG Tailor coming out soon. It just came in the mail. Haven’t recorded it yet to tell you if it’s good or not. If you can afford it, Oliver Wicks is my favorite. I recently ordered my 2nd suit from them. It’s my tux for my wedding later this year. It cost is a major requirement, you can sometimes find something pretty decent from Men’s Warehouse clearance. Order like 2 or 3 and keep the best one. Then get it tailored.

Like your channel. Really down to earth. I have been eying Oliver Wicks for a while now. Just from the look of the suits and fabrics they seem top notch. I am a big fan of Spier and Mackay. They too have quality fabrics as well as MTM. Their clothing fir well for me, I'm a dad LOL. They are around the same cost as Oliver Wicks except for their off the rack which is quite reasonable along with their frequent sales. I am more of a Sport Jacket guy than a suit guy but Oliver Wicks is on my list to try. - All the best with your channel

Most of the time I do sports jacket and jeans. About once a week I’ll do a suit unless I have to go into one of the corporate offices at work, then I’m in a suit. It’s not required, but I feel better in one. Sport and Mackay is on my list of companies to try. I’ve heard great things. I love the oliver wicks suit. The fabric, the construction, and even the cut. It’s European so the way it’s cut has a slimming effect.

I’m actually glad I found this review, I was pretty close to ordering one at the recommends of a friend. The thing about it is. . I’m not sure I need made to measure. I fit things off the rack like a.. mannequin, except that I have to take a roll out of the neck (maybe I don’t have enough trapezius muscles ?) I have just always wanted the “luxury experience “ of M2M.. but going off of the other comments here, if I’m used to corneliani, canali, Zegna- I would be disappointed in the quality of a budget M2M. Also I have sensory autism.. I can’t wear scratchy or uncomfortable clothing at all.. that’s how I figured out I needed the mid tier off the rack stuff, at a minimum. I’ve always wanted a Ralph Lauren Purple or Oxxford.. but that’s $$$$ At that point one could probably get a true Bespoke suit in Atlanta (the closest big city )

I’m in Atlanta now. Work conference. Leaving tomorrow. I should be picking up my Jo’s bank custom suits this or next weekend and will be making a video. They size you, you customize it, they make it in a few weeks, you try it on, they do some additional tailoring (this is the part I’m at) and then it’s ready to bring home.

Appreciate the review. Thankfully I had a bit better experience, after some initial hesitation. I'm in Houston and tried out the Galleria location. I wen't their once about two years ago, and was super unimpressed by the staff, and ended up not ordering anything. I had a friend talk me into giving them another try. I went in on the 26th of Nov, had a much better experience, and just got my suit delivered yesterday. *TLDR* IF the measurements are done well, the suit comes out pretty nice, but staff is real hit-or-miss on skill level. A better option than most "designer" suits like Hugo Boss, the lower lines of Burburry or Brooks Brothers etc... Clearly doesn't measure up to the likes of Ermenegildo Zegna, Canali, Corneliani, or Luciano Barbera, etc... but much, much, cheaper. Great for filling out a collection. *Full Breakdown* For the $299 sale price I bought this for, I absolutely couldn't be happier. For general information, I'm 6'3" 220 with a 48" chest, a 39" actual waist and typically wear a 36x34 in a pant. So I typically have a good bit of tailoring done to anything OTR to get it dialed in to my liking. Jacket, all the way around, is a great fit. Perfect size through the shoulders, good slope for my build, proper pitch on the sleeve (again, for my personal build). Functional button cuffs right at the length I prefer and specified in the fitting process. Button stance is perfect, and waist taper is spot on. Vest is sized perfect. Length is just right. Good fit through the chest and a good taper for the waist, without being too snug. Pants were perfect on the leg opening and length. I haven't gained a pound since the initial fitting, but find the pants to be about a 1/2 inch too snug. Not too tight as to be uncomfortable, or straining, but I'll have them let out a tad in the future. Not even worth running downtown to Indochino for. They're close enough, I'll just drop them at my personal tailor next time I'm over his way. Construction and materials... is honestly pretty good. Handling back-to-back with one of my Canali or Zegna (mainline) jackets, it's clearly not in the same category. Much stiffer feeling through both fabric and construction. The Canali I compared it to, for example, seriously feels like wearing a long-sleeve T-shirt. It's sooo comfortable and naturally moving as it drapes on the body. The Indochino has a decently cut armhole, and had an overall good range of motion, but just doesn't measure up on overall feel and comfort. Part of that's due to what's simply lower grade fabrics, lining, and the "half-canvassed" construction. It actually does compare pretty well to a couple Hugo Boss and Brooks Brothers suits I own (which are fused construction). Blind folded, there's a clear difference in feel from my upper tier OTR full canvassed brands, but I can't truly mark any difference in feel, visible stitching quality, and other build elements between the Indochino and my lower tier OTR suits. I would absolutely buy 2 or 3 more suits like this from Indochino over a single fused suit from Hugo Boss, Armani Collezioni, Brooks Brothers, other fashion brands etc... One particular thing I would change is the lining material. It's not terrible, but is a 52/48% poly/viscose blend. At least it's nearly 50% viscose, so it should breath pretty well, but of course I would prefer 100% viscose or cupro.

According to the Tailor I had, Indochino's algorithm is janky and the suit will come out better if the algorithm doesn't think your body can exist. At that point the Tailor is able to submit their own measurements to be used cause you obviously do exist and the suits tend to come out better.

I must have hit the lottery. My blazer, fitted at a store near me, fit darn near perfect the first time, minor adjustment made at store for free. Quality, fit and finish where great for the price. Maybe having a local store and good sales people make the difference. I just ordered a second sports coat after picking out a fabric in the store (which looked nothing like online photo). Will see if I win again.

This video is right on. My experience with Indochino was COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. The jacket was 8"-10" too big. The pants were really baggy and WAY too short. The leg openings were really wide. This brand is an ABSOLUTE SCAM. The way they write their policies are very tricky. It's done in a way that you cant get a refund even though they provided GARBAGE.... STAY FAR AWAY FROM INDOCHINO

I got an Indochino suite online and used my measurements from other suites and took them with a tape measure, it was huge and just awful. Looked like a clownsuit. I took a long drive and went to the showroom. They took the suit back and took new measurements. Fast forward a few weeks, and it still didn't fit well. The seat of the pants was too tight, I'm afraid to rip the seam just getting in and out of the car. I agree, the fabric feels thin and has no give. So I spent all that money on a suit I don't wear anymore.

I think the specific style guide doing the fitting probably has a heavy impact on how the suit will end up. I tried out Indochino thru one of their locations here in SoCal. Fortunately, my style guide was this sweet fellow who seemed to have some solid fashion sense! Conversational skills were great & he came off genuinely passionate about his work. 2.5 weeks later I received my suit. My only real issues were: > The foot opening on the pants being roughly an inch too wide for my liking > And I preferred the taper on the suit to be slimmer...for lack of a better term, I wanted more of an “hourglass” type of appearance I went back their showroom for alterations. I thankfully managed to work with the same associate. He gave me a similar timeframe as they extended to you, “2-3 weeks”. Out of curiosity I wanted to know why? The gentleman explained that all their alteration work is done via an “In-House Tailor”. But, due to the pandemic, Indochino cut their Tailor’s working hours to about 2 days/week. I’m not sure if this statement would be true for all showrooms across the board, but at least for my local Indochino, this is their situation at this time.

On top of that, they pay youtubers to read from a script giving them a positive review. If you watch enough of the videos, you start to hear the same phrases in nearly all of them. Thank you for the honest review. I saw a display in Nordstrom (where I buy $2,000 Canali suits). My first thought was, for $499 there is no way they can be good. A nice Hart Schaffner and Marx is about $700 or $800 in Dillards; get it tailored and it'll look like it's twice as expensive. Bottom line is, you get what you pay for. And by the way, probably the main reason that Indochino is uncomfortable is, the cheap fabric.

Found this review accurate. Horrible suit. Have bought made to measure from many providers and this was by far my worst experience. I also went to the showroom and i left questioning whether the salesman had ever fitted clothing before. I never got fitted with the “sample” suit as described here, which might have helped with the poor fit. Suit I got was nearly unwearable and I wasn’t inclined to waste more time fitting a poor quality suit. Lesson learned.

Wow, that sucks. Yeah, Indochino was my worst experience with buying a suit so far. I wanted to like them, I wanted to like the suit. Especially with how much I paid for it. Every time I wore the suit I was reminded of how much I overpaid for it, and that it still didn’t fit properly. I’m gonna be getting a new suit in a month. Still deciding who to go with for the next one. Could me MTailor, Itailor, suit supply, or studio suits. I haven’t decided yet.

I was in Nashville back in November. The Indochino in the green hills mall is the one I think you’re referring to. I stopped at the Jos Bank there while I was in Nashville. I used to live a few minutes from the green hills mall, used to work at the Ruby Tuesdays that used to be there back in 2006. I got mine in Charlotte. It’s an hour and a half from me. Jos bank has nice quality suits. Off the rack so they need a little tailoring. Oliver wicks has awesome quality MTM but are a little pricey at around $900. But worth it in my opinion. I plan to get a Lanieri MTM suit eventually now heard they’re great quality like Oliver wicks. I’m about to do a video on Sene suits. Not as formal but great for in the go. Hockerty is ok. Not my favorite. Needs more attention to detail.

@@TheDadBod Dad joke back at you. What’s red and bad for your teeth? A brick

Funny story. About 15 years ago I was a huge Red Sox fan. I was walking past Fenway Park and they were replacing some damaged bricks. I grabbed one that had been put in. Technically it was a part of Fenway for a few minutes. Cut to about a year ago. It has been in the garage on a shelf for a very long time. Nearly forgotten. I had to work late. I got home and my fiancée and daughter were in the garage looking for a board game. They heard me. But didn’t know it was me. They grabbed the first thing they could, my brick. Luckily, they never swung and i was able to keep my teeth.

Quite many true facts, like with everything when it comes to menstyle you will have to pay quite much learning money. I think we all did waste huge amounts of money till you find something that is nice or gain the wisdom what is actually good and what isnn't, Indochino is quite horrible but it is also known, many of those reviews on youtube and elsewhere are paid. And like you said they got them for free so they are forced to give out good opinions. Most people are surely better off grabing a ready to wear one from Spier and Mackay or others in my eyes. Oliver Wicks and Black Lapel are better in my opinions but you are also paying the premium fee. I got away from made to messure suits and I found better and cheaper ones off the rack that fit me as good or better. And you are right the pants are too long and the sleeve length is also too long even after the alterations. You would have been much better off getting to your local tailor. Also when you sit it looks like the jacket is blowing every second.

I got many of my every day wear suits from Men’s Wearhouse. I’d buy many and keep usually only one. Maybe two.l that fit and feel great. And then get it tailored a little. When I can, I get a nicer suit (I love my oliver wicks suit).

Hey there, I’m getting married in a few months and new to the whole suit thing. I’ve always had trouble with suits bc of my body frame where I have broad shoulders and a slimmer waste. It always tends to look too big around the stomach area. I was looking at indochino to get some custom measurements but apparently they’re no good according to your review.. what would you say I should do/where I should purchase from? I don’t want to spend too much over $1k in total but I do want a quality tux for my wedding day.. thanks a lot

From the ones I’ve tried so far, I would say Oliver Wicks. How far out is your wedding? For your first suit it could take 3-5 weeks to get your suit, if it needs to be remade to get your perfect size, it could be another 3-5 weeks. If you have the time, I would absolutely go with them. It may only take 3-5 weeks and then minor tailoring at a local tailor shop. But the quality is amazing. If you need something sooner, I would recommend hockerty. They were much quicker. About 2 weeks. Quality is good from my experience so far. A bit less expensive than Oliver wicks. Much better quality than Indochino. Or, if you’re really in a pinch, you could go to a men’s warehouse and find your size. (For me it’s 48 long with stretch material, or 52 slim long) then find a store that has ready to ship tuxedos, and have it tailored to fit better. That would work if you have less than a month.

@@TheDadBod thank you for the response man! I’ll be getting married in May so I do believe I have the time. I may go with Oliver wicks based on yours and others reviews. Going for the midnight blue tux. Do you recommend going to a public place to get al the accurate measurements or is a measuring tape at home with my fiancé easy enough?
