Indonesia - New Wave

Earlier in the year we traveled to South Sumatra in Indonesia for a QS event, after not progressing we stayed and found some unbelievably fun waves to surf.
Here's a few minutes of some of the better surfs we had on the trip. Good fun surfing with some very talented surfers from Aus and a massive thanks to my good mate Owen Milne behind the camera filming us all surf.

Good to see parts of Indo that haven't had a hotel built on them. Something about the subspecies Ozigromm being released in foreign tropical environments reminds us all of our past origins. God help us if they ever reach plague proportions. Luckily though, they do tend to settle down when they breed. Great surfing and an entertaining moving picture show. KUTGW

scored. as far as the surfing, it's good, but too modern. Gotta go back and watch the old flicks. Overturns and spinny things are overrated. Layback cutties are overrated too. go for the roundhouse Always go for the power turns. watch the 80s flicks Also, you gotta lose the pause turn at the top when dropping in - can't remember what you guys call that - that one definitely came from Slater. It's a generation thing.
