Thanks for both of you for promoting our nature, it's remind me of my childhood memories, back than no road available, and Mentaya River (central Borneo) is our main transportation way, and since my parents is merchant we travel alot from village to village alongside of the river to selling our goods and on top the kelotok is my favorite part since it has nice view for watching different kind of animals and lush prestine forest alongside the river and I love the wind breeze blowing to my face. It's nice to see how now kelotok is used different purpose for ecotourism, For Arif mantap bro....! we need more people like you.

I spent 4 days going up river on a Klotok. I went during the wet season and it was awesome but the biggest drag was the mosquitos. It was really hard to handle. We spent most of the evening and night on our bed under a mosquito net. They take great care of you on the boat and food was amazing too!
@Daz304 жыл бұрын
I enjoyed these videos going down the river on that boat more than i thought I would in the beginning. In fact you could almost sit your camera on the top level pointing up river and record an hour unedited view of the river with raw audio (no talking or music) as a separate video and it would be interesting to watch as if were were there chilling. Don't know if its too late to suggest that. I was also surprised there wasn't many mosquito's there even in the dry scene especially in the evenings.

Thanks for the in depth tour of the boat, and what it takes to make it happen. I was wondering about the bugs, and you answered that, i would think they would be bad in the wet season. And your guide, he sure seemed to enjoy what he does, makes for an enjoyable experience.

Same idea in the Philippines. The bangka (small outrigger boats) generally use water pumps as motors since the boats are mostly hand made and improvised. Slow and noisy as heck.
