The Kanoman market was created during the colonial era so that people at that time would not focus on the palace because the Kanoman palace at that time was very influential so the Dutch built the market. However, as time went by, because Sultan Kanoman was so noble, this place was still used as a market and even covered the palace. it was truly noble that the sultan gave up his land to build a market, even the name kanoman is synonymous with market but not palace even though behind the market there is a palace

3:50 that's called kolang-kaling, we don't eat it straight away. Usually we cook it and put lot sugar to it to make dish like kolak or some other dessert.

Nick, the white one you eat is called kolang-kaling, it has no taste, Indonesians usually mix kolang Kaling with syrup. Don't forget to eat typical Cirebon food such as empal gentong, nasi lengko and gejrot tofu 👍

You should cook those kolang kaling... just boiled water, add sugar and add those kolang Kaling until soft... you can also add food dye to make it more colorful

that kolang kaling we use to find them in ice kacang, cendol, or ice cream. you hardly see them anymore in Malaysia. unless you look for them in some market.

Beside that maybe one of the suburbs in Surabaya, you can go Kampung Sumberejo Makmur Gang 9, Kelurahan Sumberejo, Kecamatan Pakal, Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia. We have 'Green House' and integrated farming which are Fisheries and Livestock. We want to have a friendly environment that can be a wonderful place to live in and for our kiddos to grow up with the nature around us. Eventhough we live at suburbs but we still want to live less pollution which is cooperating with the local government and communities. We are still on progress on what we dream of. Especially if some foreigners come to visit us here. Hopefully you all here can visit us. Suwon, Ning dan Cak. Terima kasih.
