This amazing lady brought so many FIRST to ASIA when it comes to theatre/broadway acting and singing. 1.The FIRST and ONLY pure Asian ever awarded a TONY Award. 2. The ONLY Asian who became a singing voice of not 1 but 2 Disney princesses. 3. First Asian to get a lead role in theater acting as Kim in Miss Saigon. 4. She was also awarded/called a Disney Legend. Lea is a broadway legend...having performed kim in Ms. Saigon winning the best actress in the olivier award in london and when Ms Saigon came to the US for stage performance, she won also the best actress for the tony award...she also performed in les miserables as epinone in its 10th anniversary concert (you should react on this) and as fantine in its 25th anniversary.

The original animated film Mulan came out in 1998 (Lea was 27). This performance was from when Lea was honored as a Disney Legend in 2011 (age 40). It's like no time has passed.

There's a video of Lea singing while she's surrounded by a group of friends. I think that's on a restaurant? And her friend was playing the piano. She sang a bit of this song and when she came into the chorus, some of the other people inside stopped on whatever they were doing to check out who was singing. Obviously, they recognised the song and Lea's voice. Lea was there singing, leaning casually on the piano on her casual clothes and just enjoying herself. Haha. It's like the world suddenly stopped from turning and everyone focused on Lea.
