I'll send you a recording of my neighboring "belting" out Power of Love. Hmm nothing like bleeding ears in the morning🤣. Real talk though, Lea is not well known here. No shame to other famous singers and celebrities, but it's kinda disappointing. But at the same time you get it, because Lea is mostly in the West and on Broadway/Musicals, which most Filipinos consider "boring" or too complicated. Lalo na sa probinsiya (and I live here). There are some who love musicals and a fan of Lea since her younger years, but they're quite a few. Even kids would prefer Regine, Sarah, etc (again, not downgrading these singers. They're talented as much. And they're present on ASAP most of the time which is why. It's just that it feels unfair for someone like Lea who's been practicing since her childhood and was part of most of the world's memorable musicals to be forgotten/under appreciated by her countryfolk)😢.

When I saw her played Eponine in Les Mis in WE, I was really stunned because her voice was sparkling, and it was so different from the others. All the casts were great in WE but she was special. HI, I usually don't comment but Lea has been a role model making us proud to be Asian performers for a long time. You are right that she does not overdo musical climaxes. In fact, she would very seldom sing notes that are not already on the sheet music and not exactly as intended by the writers. And yes, "Reflection" is way harder than "A Whole New World" simply because the former is in general higher and stays up there for longer, and she has little choice but to mix the top notes because of the musical phrasing. T
