This is a video showing the progress on my indoor RC course that I am building. There will be another video showing the course in the stage it is at now. It is now in the scenery stage, so I am adding trees, wood, rocks, little things here and there. Stay tuned for that video.
Some of the stuff that was used:
spray foam - i think 14 cans
plaster cloth - i think 15 packages
boxes - all kinds and sizes of boxes (good thing i like to buy rc cars!)
4 x 8 piece of plywood. there was a few left over from getting my roof done.
1.5" x 1.5" wood for around the sides of the plywood.
Check out my other videos:

Thank you. Still some more to do but it's fun. I already want to expand off that table onto something else. Not sure, maybe along the walls.

Hey Todd how are ya. I cant remember if I told you about the concrete cloth idea. But this course would of been awesome to do with small pieces of cloth soaked in concrete with or without some sort of aggregate put into it to give diff textures and surfaces. Something like old towels or pillow cases would be perfect for this size of a course.

i didn't hear about that method. are you saying instead of using the spray foam and plaster cloth? i did use a lot of foam and plaster cloth to get the textures and rock looking areas.

@@travelinwithTODD Yea most of the people that build these courses use that method, spary foam and plaster cloth. Few know of the soaking cloth in concrete and using that instead, I want to do it with fleece blankets to get huge awesome mountains that are stone and in shapes and sizes that the foam just wouldnt allow for. Saw a vid years back with 2 artists that did that and make a giant chair for a show. Looked very kewl. I also saw a vid of someone making a course that used aluminum baking trays and crunched em up so they would be like sharp rocks and terrain. I wanna do that but with the concrete cloth idea. :) I told Reactive Terrain about it and they opted for that instead of using these huge foam boards, check out their channel. Its a son and father from the UK. Their course turned out pretty decent too. Ive got so many ideas like that for courses its crazy.. lol so may as well tell folks about it so they can choose what works best for them :)

@@travelinwithTODD The guy that lived in the basement of this house Im in moved out a while ago. I wanna make a huge course down there or in the garage now there is room in each place. Garage would be awesome for the concrete cloth idea. I want to use a polymer or something added to the concrete to give it a water proofing so I can do streams and small water features and if it leaked the garage wouldnt be a problem like the basement would.

I tried using cloth and concrete, and it didn't work but I think I had the wrong kind of concrete. It was quick Crete made for post holes, might give it another try sometime.
