Going more into detail on my yearling 1.1 Tupinambis merianae enclosure. I added some features compared to the last video I made. This is how I keep mine indoors. Come summer I will make another video of their outdoor enclosure.
This is suitable for my yearlings but I will eventually have to upgrade to a larger indoor enclosure. The next size will be an 8x4x3 ft (LxWxH). The outdoor enclosure will be 10x10 ft.
This species requires a lot of room so make sure you can provide that before purchasing!
I would just like to point out that most people do not use Mercury Vapor bulbs and fluorescents simultaneously. If done improperly you risk having your reptile exposed to too much UVB. I have a Solarmeter 6.2 and can properly measure the outputs. If you're going to use a fluorescent, I advise using regular halogens or spot bulbs to provide the heat. Do the research and learn what's best for you and your herps!
