Great video! I just bought one yesterday. My understanding is that the insulation pad is for when you use the long pliable 46-in coil. You wrap whatever you're heating so that it creates a gap. That way the coils are not touching the material you're heating and it doesn't burn up your coil. It's not to protect something else from getting heated because it's localized heat remember. Let me know if I'm understanding this correctly. Haven't used mine in an application yet. Just messing around on a bench with a bolt and a vise but a badass tool no doubt. Look forward to it saving my ass.

Thanks for the informative VIDJYA, CP. You put me over the edge on buying one of these. I work on class 8 trucks and can see where this could be a very helpful tool. Many thanks.

That's good one... I have the mini-ductor 2 and the first thing we did was put a piece of mechanics wire through a hot dog and heat it up

Lol it was something I had to do man that thing is insane how fast it cherry's up a nut

My first rusted nut I used an induction heater on was an exhaust nut that used 18mm socket and I think was a 10mm stud size anyway the nut was so rusted to the stud it looked like it was one piece. I heated it for maybe 45 seconds got it bright red put impact on it and the nut came rite off!! So many uses!

Awesome. When the first gen came out I was amazed, both by what it could do and the price. You've made me want to buy one just a bit more.

I bought the Venom HP 6 months ago for $488.00 from tooltopia website, and they are still running the same price. $162.00 cheaper than the tool truck.

473 actually links in the description they came available in may how did you snap one in January?
@JohnSmith-ud4qc4 жыл бұрын
@@CPthetooladdict autobodytoolmart website had the Venom HP in Dec. 2019 I think the price was $600.00 which I thought was a good deal, but then I saw it was on tooltopia for $488.00 on Jan. 2020 So I bought it for this control arm and gas tank job I was doing. I wanted one of these heating tools for awhile now, but I did not like the straight version.

Hey guys! I noticed that when the tool is attempting to heat nothing or something non magnetic the coil it self will warm up more with nothing or non ferrous metal than it does with ferrous metal inside the coil. I hope I am saying it rite lol. Basically when I heat a bolt to red hot than feel the coil it is cooler than it would be if I just triggered the tool for the same time and felt the coil. I think the coil heats it self when it has nothing inside it.

so how would you compare this to the bolt buster original version of the induction tools

It would not heat up the hotdog if it wasn’t touching the coil.
@CPthetooladdict4 жыл бұрын
Negative the coil still gets to 700° I don't know about you but if I stood next to a fire I'm going to get a little warm also
