Excellent explanation sir..thanks a lot for explaining it so easy...

Hello Varun, thank you for another wonderful video. I had been incorrectly visualizing the rotor produced magnetic field as rotating at a different angular rate from the stator’s magnetic field. That concept continued to force doubts and this simple explanation and visualization provided one of those rare moments where it suddenly all made sense ;). Cheers!

I don't understand why this subject is so hard to find in google, i can't find straight forward answers; luckily i watched this video. Thank you sir 🙏

Here the topic is Excitation given to stator and rotor windings are short circuited. But if rotor windings are short circuited how a rotating magnetic filed will produce in rotor ? You said, for producing a rotating magnetic field we need a 3p supply and a 3p winding(ie 120 deg apart) right? So if rotor windings are short circuited, how rotating magnetic field will produce? Please clear my doubt Varun
@ElectricalisEasy4 жыл бұрын
Unless the winding are closed or shorted how can the current flow in the rotor? That should answer the doubt.

Sir,rotor windings are 3 phase, as they are arranged in the structure 120 deg apart, but how the induced currents are also 3 phase?

respected sir can we say air gap field same as rotating magnetic field
@ElectricalisEasy5 жыл бұрын
Yes the field that is usually produced by the supply frequency is termed as the air gap flux...

Speed of the rotating magnetic field produced by the rotor, Nr=sNs, ok. This speed, Nr is with respect to what?
@andrewvictor14894 жыл бұрын
Nr is the speed of magnetic field with respect to rotor conductor , as Nr=Ns-Nm=SNs

Nm=SNs Therfore can we write rotor rotating magnetic field wrt rotot conductors=Ns-Nm=Ns(1-S)
@daviduday17903 жыл бұрын
wrong!!!!!!! because Nm is not equal to SNs. Nr=SNs , so speed of rotor rotating magnetic field wrt rotor conductors is Ns-Nm=Nr. And we are the one that defined that Rmf is rotating at Nr wrt rotor
