Hello friend, Defining the word "law" also adds context and a more complete understanding of this Psalm. Law - H8451 - is defined as Tora in Hebrew. What is the tora? It is the Pentateuch - the first 5 books in the bible. Instruction and doctrine are other words used to understand Tora. There are much deeper studies you can go into just with understanding what the Tora is. Yes in your notes you condensed "law" into "His word", but there is a bigger point being missed that is very crucial to understand. Shalom!

@@lfigueroify i’m so sorry you are feeling this way, please know it’s not about what you write in a journal or how you take notes or how anything looks, if you simply come to God‘s Word, pray, and ask Him to speak and minister to your heart, and to reveal Himself to you. Be diligent in searching His Word and ask Him to help you to draw near to Him through His Word. Don’t give up, He is faithful!

I think the one of best method for the studying the Bible as a newbie is the Soap method. Take a Scripture or passage, write it out, read it. Conduct an Observation of the scripture or passage-meaning try to understand it by reading the entire context it was written in. What does the scripture or passage say about God? About His character? About His goodness? Then, Application - apply it to your life. What is God saying to me through my reading and understanding of the scripture or passage. Lastly, Pray - using what you've just study say a write out a prayer and pray. Ask God to show you what you have learned and studied and how you can apply it to your life. Every Word spoken in the Bible is relevant in our lives.

You are not alone.❤ Do not let the enemy accuse or shame you or make you feel unqualified … we all begin somewhere. This kind of study method, while it’s good, is not the only method. And remember that, it’s just a “method.” Nothing can replace what Jesus is wanting to teach you or show you. I would encourage you to simply read your Bible and pay attention to your heart and how your heart engages with scripture. When you feel a stirring in your heart/spirit ask Jesus, Jesus what are you trying to show me in this passage? Many times I’ve turned scripture into personal prayers this way. Your Bible becomes a place where you pour your heart out to Jesus. 🥰 Don’t get caught up in method, focus on friendship with Jesus and knowing His Word and the rest will fall into place. Trust Jesus. He knows what He’s building in you.❤

very disappointed when i found out the the esv as well as most modern versions have omitted key verses mostly in the NT that speak of the authority of Christ. I found these in greek Hebrew litteral translations as well as in King James bibles that have not been updated . I checked with an old family bible that came from my grandmother which is king James and all of the missing verses were there. These verses were KEY to help me understand verses even chapters that were confusing to me, even those in my esv that seemed to contradict what i understood from OT passages. Know that faith in general is under attack these days and be aware that all our bibles are printed in a nation that is not only hostile to America but to christianity.
