INDUCTOR SHOOTOUT: STOCK Dunlop VS RED FASEL in 1989 Crybaby

I replaced the stock Dunlop inductor in my 1989 Crybaby with a Dunlop RED FASEL inductor
The results were a definite improvement IMHO,
and while I was at it, I made a couple mods

Thanks for this video. My CryBaby has decided it really likes radio stations, wondering if changing the inductor might be an answer. Can't really afford to move lol. Speakers improved when I moved them to another wall but the wah really catches those radio signals then amplifies them when you step on the pedal.

Interesting! I wonder if there's a loose ground in your Crybaby? The treadle enclosure offers pretty good shielding. Are you running it on battery? Or possibly a daisy chain power supply? My REV C has the 9v 1/4" plug which requires an adaptor - maybe check how yours is wired and experiment with alternative power sources.

@@chipstips5823 I need to check the wiring. I changed the pot as it got scratchy, but hadn't used it for some time. I am using a battery as "someone" lost the power supply long ago. Even if wah pedals are "so 70s" I'm an old fart who loves their sound, and it takes some skill to work them really well with the music.
