Don’t think crowd funding is the way to go this time around, but I like the idea and I’ll probably pick it up on steam if the early access has enough features and is fairly stable.

I think the reason why they went with Start Engine and not some thing like Kickstarter is because their not just trying get Industrial Annihilation funded but also help fund their company since Start Engine to my knowledge is to help with start up companies. I could be wrong though.

You can pre-order it for steam here: industrialannihilation.com/ 29.99 USD They have it a weird way because I think they use it to track their crowdfunding sales and pre-orders together dynamically but I feel like there is a better way to do it with Steam's API. IDK but that is the way they do it.

just a reminder that during the total annihilation crowdfunding they promised everything they have now but didnt deliver and made at least some people pay extra for it as an expansion.

@DemonEntertainment that's the way it ended up being but the wording when I backed it was such that everything that was promised in titans was supposed to be included in the base game for all backers up to a certain date I believe it was. Instead they ended up making it a paid expansion

@@SoggySoup I was one of those people who got the original. Except when they made Titans, they didn't discount it initially, so the original became a dead game and was taken off the store, replaced by the new one, which was still FULL PRICE. I honestly still haven't forgiven them. And now this title looks the same as the old one. Honestly I'm incredibly suspicious and wary about this title.

Love the game concept and what's shown here, but I really despair at the crowd sourcing through a proprietary investment mechanism... hopefully they have enough money to do this game justice.

I love the concept for the game and would like to support, but the funding mechanism and financial disclosures are concerning. It's showing $1.25 million in debt with a $1m/yr burn rate. Even if you hit your investment goal, are you going to have the 2 year minimum runway you say you need?

This is a breath of fresh Air. The concept is epic. I really hope that this will blend BITER BATTLES from Factorio and BAR (beyond all reason) so that you can have more economic players in the logistic back house (like FOXHOLE or the New Anvil Empires by siege engine) , and front-line tactical players microing the built troops and production placement. Having a game prioritizes the Multiplayer side of the house for large team based matches and epic total war campaigns will give this one hell of a shelf life. I'm so happy you guys put the time and energy into this project. The opportunities are really all there to make something awesome!

okay a few questions, whats world gen going to look like? how big is world gen going to be? will their be underground, Air, space content? how complicated will you make resource production/chains? will we get a variety of MP options like versus and co-op?

This looks like everything I have ever wanted in an RTS game balled up into one. Total Annihilation was great growing up. Played the shit out of the Spring Engine but it just wasn't the same. Then Uber gave us PA and PA:T and now I see this and it makes me hopeful. But I won't consider it legit until I hear John Patrick Lowrie giving me a trailer for it.

I think this is an epic idea for a game and a genre the market is absolutely ready for. I think there is a lot this game should try to take from Beyond All Reason and Factorio. If they can bring their best ideas together, along with their amazing work on Planetary Annihilation etc, we're set up for an amazing game.

Factory style as RTS? Does that mean it will be Factorio but pvp? Or starcraft but too focused on basebuilding that both micro and macro either becomes unimportant or too carpal tunnel causing Im hopeful it will be a great RTS Seeing the trailer, I hope pathfinding wouldnt be an option, and also unit selection, some big units hopefully wouldnt render smaller units unclickable by going over them. Since it seems this would be a blend of factorio and red alert/age of empires (as said from this video) hopefully it wouldnt become how pro red alert is played (spamming), and if age of empires was taken as inspiration, then hopefully there would be a 4x aspect Planetary annihilation was pretty well taken, imo when the scale was kinda too big though, the game becomes too ant-y with a swarm of triangles on the screen, not allowing to enjoy the looks of the game as much. Looking forward to playing the game

looking forward to it, got a preoder. I am hungry for new Supreme commander style games. Planetary annihilation was fun. Please be reasonable with performance - your animation style looks better with smooth graphics in the range of 45-60 fps. Not sure that Unreal 5 is ready for RTS to give such result

I don't trust this team after they dropped fixing planetary annihilation and made a second planetary annihilation that you had to buy. The game looks good in the trailer but whos to say they won't discontinue the game and sell it to you again for profit

Different team, I crowdfunded the original, totally different guys. The game has a weird history of changing hands. But I wouldn't trust anything crowdfunded as far as I could throw it.

@@dgage1776 If they made a new game that would have been fine. They made the same game and discontinued the original saying “There's all your bug fixes” . It wasn't an expansion, it wasn’t even like all the jokes people make when a game is very similar and they just stick 2 on the front. This was bug fixes you had to pay for.

Seems like a pitch to investors who aren't gamers or are unwilling to do any due diligence, RTS and factory genres are fairly popular but small niche and with most of that money being made from games will be from publishers increasing the cost of already overpriced AAA's and the mobile gatcha market any return on an investment will be pretty small. Especially when there's games like BAR available for free and DSP which will be the "factory game with combat" that annihilates this one.

I have planetary annihilation and have played it a bit .The only thing I don't like is the small planet size representation .The planets should be 20 times bigger .

Guys the only thing you need to make this game be a complete sucess is that the multiplayer doenst slow down as fast to a crawl, possibly two factions and a singleplayer campaing! But the MP stability is the most important thing, I loved PA, bur me and mz friends always broke the engine because we all liked to turtle Oh and if its possible I would love LOVE to see shieldgenerators make a return together with really lomg artillery so I can make a ww1 frontline

Can you please add strategic units? Like a shield, radar jammer, mobile missle launcher etc? I found that the most fun I had in supcom was using tactical and strategic units...not jus the plain old boring tank, plane etc??

hopefully you wont ship half finished product like PA .. Conquering galaxy was kinda lame that each system had only ONE planet and you couldnt even crash the moon or shoot the Death Star. Had to use mods to increase the amount and difficulty of AI players and planets in the system and it was extremely laggy .. especially the galaxy map, that was super lame. Older same games did it better. Or newer games like DSP (no combat though) .. that was nicely done, taking over the galaxy online with multiple planets. Or like SoaSE .. also conquering hundreds of planets live .. no loading screens. Also .. Please dont make the planets so tiny .. everyone does it and its lame .. make them a bit bigger .. 2-5 times bigger .. its kinda lame conquering galaxy with 50m radius planets. Also please dont make stupid aiming on smaller planets like in PA .. a lot of ground long range units was unusable on those tiny planets cuz they were shooting INTO the ground. Try to do better and dont live in a live, you did a good job .. it was average and you can do better .. a lot better. Its not that hard really. Quality over quantity. Also .. very bad presentation. Talking about how good the game is but refusing to show anything .. thats kinda weird and killing the vibes. Think before talking ;)

Yeah, this game concept is just not working. Why would you ever have ground battles when you are interplanetary and have no reason to ever capture something because you make stuff from nothing. This is like Planetary Annihilation, sounds epic, doesn't work, and you'll fail to even deliver on the not working promise.

Looks like a shallow cash grab to me. Your past games weren't all that great either. It's blatenly obvious someone just had an idea to mix 2 genres and ya'll screamed money. And after what you did to Planetary Annihilation, I'm never backing you guys ever again. Good luck though, I do hope you can make a good product. But you lost my trust at least.
