You should invest in a few ring cameras. You can set up a couple of motion flood lights so you can keep an eye on the place when you arent there. inside and out. or at entrances or whatever. Even from poland 24/7. They also can be activated by sound, such as breaking glass specifically. A couple hundred dollars and you could save yourself double work of fixing stuff the kids are breaking.

The good thing about you in the states is that you just do a lot with wood. This makes everything so much easier than in Germany (or Poland) and is far more effective. I would really tear down everything - every single non-load-bearing wall, every pipe, every single cable (which is certainly also a fire hazard after all these years) - through the core renovation alone you can certainly appeal to many more people to build what they need there (spatial idea) and you can quickly add everything individually fresh new rooms you need. The building is in top condition for its age, once you have torn down everything old walls. Peace from Germany Would really like to come by and do something for 2-3 weeks, if the journey would not be so far away and expensive

Thanks for commenting. I guess it is a two sided coin. because in Europe you build for your grandchildren. Our houses have 100 years of life in them max. But the barrier to entry to work on them and do DIY is much lower for someone like me which is a great thing. Gutting completely is where it is heading. at each stage the obvious thing is to peel back a little more and the further we go the more work there is but the upside is gigantic.

It still may be warm where you are working. But have you ever considered buying or renting a propane worksite heater? The type that is industrial sized? It looks like a jet engine, and has small wheels under it, so it's portable. Hang some plastic sheeting up to isolate the room you are working in, from the larger colder spaces. It is a valuable item and should be chained to something, when you leave the building each time.

OMG, what an absolutely PERFECT song!! I pretty much laughed all the way through it, and had to go back and listen to it again! My father was a Machinist Mate on a destroyer tender in WWII, so he could have worked rings around both Chris and Bob! With my dad as an example, some of the situations Chris gets into are absolutely hilarious! Bob has obviously had a lot more experience with "doing" things, and is a valuable resource and teacher for Chris! Yea, Bob! But, that song hits the nail on the head! Chris may not have the experience and knowledge he needs, but he sure does have a whopping extra dose of grit and determination!! Sooooo, yea, Chris!!! (Bob, maybe you should put your song out on video, and stream! Who knows, you may have a #1 hit on your hands!) 😂😂😂

I find big batteries prove their worth in high draw applications like circular / chain / chop saw, boring large holes or driving large bolts in a driver. I've heard 3rd party batteries are hit or miss with actually meeting rated capacity but they are so much cheaper than OEMs I think they're worth it (from a reputable company). FWIW, I used to pick up Ryobi batteries during the Christmas season specials. That was when 4ah were max size. They were about half price / buy 1 get 1 in a 2 pack. Rock on guys!👍👍
