Which remote app do you use ? I tried Anydesk but it was like working on a potato computer with insane input lags, even with a great connexion.

Hi do you think Dell - G16 16" Gaming Laptop - Intel Core i9 - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 - 32GB Memory - 1TB SSD is enough for a student studying graphic design and industrial design?

I also recommend the ProArt series made by Asus, they offer excellent laptops! I'm curious about the "remote work" you mentioned earlier. I'm trying to make it work too but I didn't find an app that works well. Could be an interesting video tho.

I had an amazing time using a ProArt last year, as part of an ASUS campaign - the screen and build were👌Definitely give Parsec a go. It's built for gaming so very low latency.

ProArt has no bearing on SolidWorks. Like you said, just consider the graphics card. I can't judge your usecase. I don't need a workstation card but you might. ProArt screens are gorgeous but again, do you need it? In my case, again, I dont

i recommand lenovo ideapad 5 pro 16inch 6800h version as a budget option, it just too competitive in this price range, i have a 5800h one and it works smooth with Creo

Legion 5Pro i9-13900 4070 user here. Paid $1700+tax. Happy with this laptop. Much faster in every way than my old desktop. Drawback, no windows hello compatible camera.

If you love well made stuff enough to study product design you should get a macbook. You'll learn a lot just by touching it daily. That said if you want viewport performance or the ability to make printable meshes, build a workstation, don't fumble with notebooks. Also for the love of god get a 34 or 43 inch 4k monitor. Don't work on a 15'' screen.

Ooo this is a dangerous opinion of you ask me. Surround yourself with good design, yes. But don't limit your buying options to one brand ever. How many incredible designers are there that don't have a single Apple product? Many. I find it quite cliche for designers to get a Mac. Arguably the most innovative deigns have all come from Windows devices for over the last 20 years... 2 in 1s, touchscreens, workstation laptops, OLED screens etc.

Hello, good video, I'm a little confused about which device to buy, I have an iPad Pro 2021 and a MacBook Pro with 1500mb of video :/ and a desktop ñc with a 3060 and an i5 9400f 16gb ram, do you think this is okay to do? product design, industrial design, sketch? I was thinking about buying software and mirroring my PC on my iPad to use Blender, any recommendations? I'm just about to enter this world, any advice? Thanks and amazing videos.

If it possible, I want to ask one thing. I have a laptop which is i5-8th cpu with 4 core. I did a project which is with 1300 samples and duration 27 second finally 805 frames on keyshot. When ı looked by calculating that how much time will it last? my laptop renders one frame in 40 minutes and there are 800 frame so that completing project. Therefore 800 framex40 minutes =32000 minutes / 60 = 533 hours = 22 day My laptop will have to run by about 22 days. when ı looked head up display for proper sample amount, my laptop could make at least 1300 times to one frame. so that's why ı choosed it so.what do you think about this topic ? 22 day render time for laptop with 4 core - 8 threads is it nomal ? If ı run my laptop for 22 day as uninterrupted in normal speed mode ( cpu temperature 70 celcius ) May ı live any problem ? Conclusion, for people who want to get qualify render but have standart laptop which is cpu with 4 core. What would you say ? Thanks.

Hey Liam, Thanks for the amazing video. How would you suggest the Asus ProArt StudioBook 16 (H7604) 2023 model maxed out, stands when it comes to Rhinoceros and Keyshot. I would like to use it as a desktop as well as on the go computer. Your inputs will be very helpful.

Anyone have any feedback on Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2 (NVIDIA RTX4060 8GB vRAM)? Worth it?
@janosadelsberger
@janosadelsberger Жыл бұрын
Basically matches my research! Great advice. I'd go for more RAM than 16GB on the MacBooks if you're doing complex 3D modelling. I hit 50GB in Fusion easily with a couple of meshes for 3D printing. Keyshot is painfully slow with the M1 Pro - hopefully M3 gets raytracing cores and Luxion finally supports GPUs on Mac. Network rendering and a couple of powerful Windows desktops could be a solution for this I guess.

Thanks for the advice! 50GB is huge. I think it's only a matter of time for GPU on Mac but I still don't know if it will compete. Will make them a much more attractive choice for designers though

@@LiamMartinTutorials Thanks for your quick and honest answer! Maybe someone will answer it if they have a HP Fury or Omen and also run Keyshot and a CAD on it. I would be very interested.

I personally owned a Dell precision 5520 laptop before and it’s horrible. It’s really pricey and the battery drain crazy. And when you finally charge it up it’s going to get stuck on the blue screen for ages. The same happened to all the Dell precision workstation desktops at my work place. Customer service is non existence if you don’t purchase their service. Can’t recommend anyone to spend their money on these Dell products

Eluktronics make the most powerful laptops on the market. Apparently they spend all of their money on R&D and hardly anything on marketing cus no one seems to know about them 😂 But they have rtx 4090 laptops that have optional external liquid cooling. Its literally desktop level performance in a laptop

Thanks for your great video. I'm now a college student in the Department of Industrial Design. I'm now using ROG G733ZM, which is a RTX 3060 laptop with i9-12900h CPU. But somehow when I use keyshot, and turn on the GPU mode, it always lags all the time. Do I need to buy a better laptop? Does a RTX 4060 or 4070 laptop really worth to buy?
@LiamMartinTutorials
@LiamMartinTutorials Жыл бұрын
So KeyShot can lag in GPU mode even though the rendering is faster. Sometime we switch between GPU to CPU when we're moving items or lining up the composition. 3060 should be fine for traditional, studio shots. We made a lot of our interiors on a desktop 3060, and they're very heavy scenes. I would contact Luxion support first if you think something is wrong
