If I may, I have an additional bit of feedback for Daniel Skoglund. I'm not a designer, just an average citizen, but I wanted to say that I think that for a medical purpose, the drone should be designed with a much more wholesome shape. I can see that there is probably an insectoid inspiration for the design judging by the multiple arms and the positioning of those arms, but that actually makes the drone seem threatening in my opinion. It looks like it's going to suck my blood, not save my life. I would instead suggest that a design that takes inspiration from seed-pods or birds would feel more like a life-saving device. Merely a suggestion, thanks for sharing your work.

www.studioello.com . I haven't updated it in 2 or 3 years, but at least you get a general idea. The new stuff that's not on there yet is way better though :)

After 3 years of this video Im curious about how you see Now the new trends and portfolio presentations, Industrial design become product design and lately is an app. What about concept designers ? Thanks for your content.

I am looking to further my studies in either Industrial design or Manufacturing engineering but I am serious getting cold feet on Industrial design because I really do not have a good skill in pencil and paper drawing which I heard is necessary to get a job in the industry this day. I'm good with computers though.

interesting! i wonder how different professors evaluate these designs.. wouldnt many disagree with some of your points and see place for improvement in other areas? you reason your opinions really well, but for some reason i feel like a lot is still highly subjective.

Another thought about the flying medical robot: I guess it would be a problem, if the propellors blow dirty air from the battlefield onto the person when a sterile environment is crucial.

If you're already on the battlefield that is the least of your concern. Stuff the wound to stop the bleeding and make it the doctor's problem at the medical camp.

Hey, I really like your feedback videos. Currently I'm stuying product design in Germany (4th semester) . My project isn't as good as the one in this video. Should I sent you my industrial project for feedback anyway?

Nice designs, interesting insights, but Imire focus should be given to practicality of these shiny objects. A lot of todays design looks good but does not function well. Microscope presented in the video is an example. Small base means it is unstable, it would be hard to change samples and it has wrong ergonomy - user would need to bend the neck to look into ocular. Good loking, but bad design.

I didn't give as much focus to practicality because I don't know the use case well enough to have an opinion, and I don't have physical prototypes to evaluate. You are right, though. Ultimately, a design will be judged by its function first.
