@merlepatterson proper doesn't matter if it runs 400,000 miles or better these engines were designed to be easily repaired/rebuilt in the field or otherwise although I have to agree proper tools and a shop makes things alot easier

Going through the prosses to measure the bearings themselves while not torqued down hurt unless if it was purely to check if it was stock what ever undersized bearings it was

Wish 12 valve engine shops were in the uk , all thats available are worn out motors with bosch rotary pumps hardly worth bothering with.4 bt motors almost non existent.

@@hotnuns69 I build my own engines, but I have never been in a 5.9. I wanted specifics so maybe we could get some idea of what people think is so unique and wonderful about them. Cause to me, it's just a small 6 cylinder industrial/commercial diesel.
