@@theRanjeetKumarshow Sir that book was on Research Methodology and its writer was named Ranjit Kumar. As far as I remember well it was a separate subject and Industrial Organizational Psychology is a separate subject.

What is OB and why is it important? What is the difference between organizational behavior and psychology? Organizational Psychology is a field of study that includes understanding what people think, feel and do in organizations. In other words, it’s brain stuff. Organizational Behavior is what people do in organizations (in particular what you can see and measure what they do). In other words, it’s action stuff.

What is the basic difference between OB and industrial psychology? Traditionally, industrial psychologists have assessed differences among individual workers and have evaluated individual jobs. Organizational psychologists generally seek to understand how workers function in an organization, and how the organization functions in society. What does an organizational behaviorist do? By examining behavior in three different levels of influence - at the individual, group and organizational level - organizations can better understand performance in the workplace and improve interactions among employees. What is the relationship between basic psychology and organizational psychology? While general psychology primarily focuses on human thought processes and behaviors. Moreover, general psychologists treat a variety of psychological disorders and mental illnesses, while organizational psychologists provide counseling and coaching services to employees.

Psychologists are primarily interested in predicting the behavior of individuals to a great extent by observing the dynamics of personal factors. Why is it important to consider both the industrial psychology and organizational psychology in the workplace? The work of an industrial-organizational psychologist could improve worker morale, boost efficiency, decrease absenteeism or lower the turnover rate. All of these activities can result in a business that is better for workers and more profitable. What is the difference of I-O psychology from business programs? While I/O psychology focuses on more individual and personal workplace issues such as engagement and morale, business psychology applies psychological practices to big-picture areas. These areas include corporate strategy, stakeholder relationships, market performance, and broader business operations.

Thanks for watching my videos. It is true people get jobs easier & faster by doing MBA in Hrm. But as the trend changes few fields have been evolved like,. 1. Psychometric assessments 2. Coaching 3. Career guidance 4. Talent management AND others, above mentioned fields are governed by industrial psychologists. But if you want to be more relevant go for few HR certifications as well.

There is not a big difference much. Organizational means when u talk to particular business, and when u name industry, it means we refer to group of organizations. In my videos u would see, I have named it same.

Sir actually I am not asking organizational and industrial words. But there are 2 different subjects of HR, Organizational Development and Organizational Psychology. O.D refers to change management regarding people of organization and Organization Psychology refers to understand the behavior of workplace. If I am not right so plz correct. But I just want to know the difference between in 2 subjects.

No both are different. Now a days OP works under CHRO | chief human resource officer or Chief Learning officers. They primarily Perform following functions of HR, 1. Organizational development 2. Learning & Development 3. Running psychometric assessments 4. Assessment centres 5. Mapping competencies 6. Talent manage net 7. Succession Planning 8. Mapping 09 Box grid And Doing 100s of others tasks.
