You can see her reading the lyrics in many of her videos because it is the first time she has ever performed the song. I have seen her standing with her phone in her hand, reading the arrangement as she performs. This is really crazy because most of the reviewers think she has practiced a song many times before performing it perfectly. Her guitarists have mentioned that they show up without any idea of what they are going to perform and they just chat about songs and pick something out to perform. Even her producer at Republic Records has mentioned that she has the song done in the first or second take. Any practice is for the musicians because Angelina knows exactly how it is going to be performed.

I was born the year Elvis exploded onto the national scene (1955) and grew up into young adulthood by the time he passed (1977). And I know from his biographies, comments from his friends, Elvis XM Radio commentators, etc., that even Elvis himself rarely nailed a song in studio recordings in just one or two takes. The only person I know of who was known for that ability (before Angelina came along) was Karen Carpenter. She was referred to by her friends and associates as "One-Take Karen."

Angelina was practicing La Boehme which is included on her Independent album, "It's Magic" and is also available on a couple YT videos. Her little sister, Juliette, is the love of Angelina's life. Juliette is about 6.5 years younger than her big sister.

Angelina calls Juliette, 'the love of my life'. You can tell that she has almost super-human patience for Juliette's little shenanigans. I consider Angelina's ability to sight read through all the distractions as super-human. The she is singing a song written for French being sung in English which changes all the timing and rhythm are all different. We should be a bit careful in making Angelina a super human. The original is a song by Charles Aznavour (1924 - 2018) made in 1965. And it is originally in French, but Aznavour have himself performed it in both Spanish, Italian, English, German and Portugese. There are at least 7 different translations to English, and the translation Angelina uses, is the one Aznavour has recorded (kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIuvaHycadGmfZo). And I very much doubt that she has made the arrangement she is using here. But her singing is none the less excellent while reading the complicated lyrics and at the same time attending to her sister as much as possible. It is very clear that on the short "La Boheme"- parts in the lyrics she do not need to read and can give her sister more attention. Yes, this is ridiculously sweet and hilarious. There are several other videos of these two sisters out there, including a very short one where Angelina is playing piano and singing a Swedish holiday song in an intentionally silly way, to make Juliette laugh. The consummate professional, the musical genius, even at this tender age. And still demonstrating her profound love for her little sister. She was singing Charles Anznavour's English translation of the song.There has never been any indication that Angelina can sing or speak French. Elle chantait la traduction anglaise de la chanson de Charles Anznavour. Il n'y a jamais eu aucune indication qu'Angelina puisse chanter ou parler français.
