Well, you can’t look 👀 at this because, the professional is something the worst patient or people in all expect because we want to take care of ourselves and sometimes overlook. Now, if she had a doctor 👩🏽‍⚕️ 🧑‍⚕️ that was actually checking on her, her husband needs to sue the doctor and the clinic quickly 🙌🏽🙏🏽

It's not she didn't get the proper care ..Pre-eclampsia is DEADLY , high blood pressure during and after pregnancy is NOT 100% fixable. People think that doctors can fix anything that is NOT true as a patient we are ALSO responsible for caring properly for ourselves.

At this point these health care "professionals" need to be brought up on charges of neglect. The doctors and the nurses are beyond incompetent and there's no excuse. I would like for there to be a dept of justice investigation into all of these cases spanning 50 years. These people need to be held accountable.
@TheDarkDresser
@TheDarkDresser 2 жыл бұрын
Why has this negligence allowed to continue for 50 years? Where are the husbands when their wives are begging to be heard? Why hasn't there been a slew of lawsuits? Complaining every time it happens doesn't solve the problem. Each time it occurs a lawsuit should follow. When I had my first child almost 50 years ago, a nurse made follow-up visits for several days after I got home. I suspect that it was because I had an episiotomy, but I was young and healthy otherwise. I was a poor unwed teenage mother and I thought that was the norm. I attribute the good care to it being a historically black hospital. A lot has changed since then, and many of these hospital are strapped for cash with so many poor uninsured patients flooding their emergency rooms, so the level of care has gone down.

I've learned a lot right after delivery. I too could've been a statistic to this. I never heard of postpartum pre-eclampsia. I truly believe when my daughter was born, it was God that saved me. I had an unexplained pain in my stomach days prior to having her. It wasn't in the top, but the bottom... nothing strenuous, but enough to know that it wasn't normal to have a pain. I went to labor and delivery, with the intention of going back home that night, and no, I didn't want to stay overnight at all. They initially was going to release me, telling me to buy a belly band, but they noticed that my BP was a little high. It wasn't high days prior, especially when I had been seen by my ob. I showed no physical signs of preeclampsia. They eventually kept me for my BP, and to do a 24hour urine. I stayed and complained for the 24 hours, as the on call doctor came in to tell me that I was delivering that night due to high proteins in my urine. I ended up delivering at 34 weeks via C-section. After delivery, I was very sick. I couldn't see my daughter for 24 hours. I was feverish and had a lot of pain in my stomach. They took me to her after 24 hours. I still wasn't feeling my best. Next I began walking to the nursery, which was so far while still in pain. I didn't mind because I knew movement was best after having the C-section and I wasn't trying to get any blood clots. Since my baby was a premie, she had to stay in hospital. They had me discharged after 3 days, but I couldn't see myself going home without my child. They then transferred me to a courtesy room that was right across from the room I stayed in after giving birth. There i would pump milk and go for that long walk to the nursery. Two or three days in, I wasn't feeling well. I had no desire to pump and I had another fever. I started to bleed out while in bed. Good thing my husband came to visit because he had to take me to the ER. The nurses told him that since I technically wasn't a patient anymore, that he would've had to take me to the ER from the side that everyone would come in, and then come back to get my things. Once I was seen, they told me that I had an infection in my incision, and I had a huge abscess. They also advised me that my BP was very high. They kept me for another few days in the hospital. My baby ended up leaving before me. I was devastated. I know that I wrote so much, but there was so much going on post delivery...there was stuff I've never heard of happening, and I've learned through myself, and now I'm seeing that many women have gone through this. It's something that's not really spoken about. I was kind of made to feel that it was because of my age, because my doctor was trying to put me on birth control stating "so this won't happen again". I know that every pregnancy is different but I didn't know that it could've been this bad. My mind and knowledge was far from that. My first and second pregnancy, I was in my early 30's, and I had no problems before or after birth. 9 years later, I had this happen to me. All I can say is wow. Women go through a lot. Men don't potentially lose their lives during childbirth, women do. So sorry for the family that lost this beautiful person.

This is really strange! I have never heard of so many of our women dying from this until recent years! Historically, we've never had such a difficult time giving birth to our babies! Lately, the care for our women in hospitals has been extremely poor though! I think that explains all this influx of birthing deaths! this is ridiculous!

Women not properly caring for themselves is also on the rise. The last 10 years the amount of diabetic mothers that don't follow a proper diet take insulin and their babies end up in the NICU is gotten out of control. Mothers are just thinking doctors can fix anything. Modern medicine is not the cure...Womens health has taken a turn for the worst

I had this condition towards the end of my 2 pregnancies that’s why both deliveries were induced: scheduled birthdays. I’m shocked by this story but also unsure because it left out a lot of details, which didn’t provide ant public service.

Is it better in African Countries? This Woman was educated and I'm sure had Exceptional people around her.... Let's not Blame the Main People We Need to Care. Let's get funding for A Study to show what can be done to prevent further loss. Also, I would like to know, if this Mom and others, heed doctor's advice and slow down or bedrest... Most Working Moms, keep working because they put themselves, last😢.... I hope others, that are high risk, or possible high risk will heed warnings. My Mother didn't die, but she went into labor with help and delivered a beautiful baby girl, that was StillBorn... my Mom's BP went too high. Also, can remember vaguely, her working, though she was high risk, but she had 4 kids to care for.... Blessings to all suffering loss like this.🕊

Prayers go out to the family and condolences. I to suffered from high preeclampsia out of Nowhere and showed many signs of edema, puffy face, Carple tunnel but was told my BP was of no concern, this was around 25-28 weeks of pregnancy. At 31 weeks and 1 day I had thrown up 7 times that night, had excruciating pain in my right side, and felt like shit. In the morning I went to the ER and had a unbelievable BP reading of 220/52 the ER couldn’t believe it and I told tbem I needed to see Labor and delivery for fluids bc I couldn’t hold anything down and they said let just see (ignoring the urgency) then after seeing that Crazy BP reading of 220/52 they rushed me upstairs to Labor unit and I thought I’d just have some fluids and double check baby movement but No I had to Immediately do Emergency Surgery bc my body had went into Hellp Syndrome, so the worst form of preeclampsia. I was in total shock and given Magnesium and multiple chemicals to keep me stable and the baby. My son is a champ and he was unscathed and had to stay in the NICU for 21 days. I didn’t see my son for a whole 24 Hrs and was so out of it and hurt from the surgery and I could barely hold him when they finally let me hold him for second before putting him back into the incubator. He was so tiny weighing 3lbs & 8 oz. I’m so thankful I had guardian angels around me and my son sent from a praying mother states away as she learned of us being admitted into the hospital. Thank God for the shooting stars ⭐️✨ She manifested. I will never forgot that day and remember something new each time I look back and recount that tragic day in my life. I had to stay at the hospital for a long week because my BP wouldn’t go down and not knowing that I was still at risk to die from preeclampsia even after giving birth. I left the hospital without my baby and that was another hard traumatic experience that No woman should have to endure. We are grateful for each day! Hallelujah

So heartbreaking. I have five children and I gave birth to them all by C-section. I had preeclampsia with the last three. My youngest was born on 8/9/21. That is me in the profile picture pregnant with her. At 33 weeks 5 days I went to the ER because I wasn't feeling well and baby wasn't moving as much. My blood pressure was through the roof with the top number being over 200 and bottom number being over 115. I was immediately admitted, given magnesium sulfate and my legs were wrapped around with these things that inflate and deflate to prevent blood clots. The Drs and nurses were surprised I didn't have any headaches, blurred vision, when they ask me if I had any symptoms. My only symptom was that I was so tired. So when my blood pressure came down to 160 I was transferred to another hospital 45 minutes away where they had a NICU. I stayed on magnesium the whole time until 24 hrs after delivery (2 days later at exactly 34 weeks) which was in total 3 days. That stuff had me so weak and it gave me headaches. I was 44 yrs old when I gave birth. I thank God I went to the ER when I did. If something doesn't feel right it probably isn't. Listen to ur body. My heart goes out to this beautiful lady's family.

Okay update there is malpractice involved she was complaining of pain in her abdomen and it’s unfortunate race is a factor at play in all of this once race enters the picture, Black people immediately get the worst care they’re not believed when they say they have pains they’re dismissed things they don’t give check ups people don’t pay attention to detail with us. Her doctor should’ve caught this around the second trimester because there were indeed signs I don’t is pop-up it happens after 20 weeks or so or even earlier so there is fault and whoever was treating her.
