No matter how bad NASCAR or IndyCar busts get, at least 95% of them are good people off the track. This unfortunately was a case of not only a bad driver, but an awful (I can't even call them a person) sub-human.

Still trying to understand why them and EuroSport thought it was necessary to dub over English-speaking commentators with...English-speaking commentators. I've seen the UK broadcasts of California 1999 (RIP Greg Moore) and Nashville 2002 and they are quite interesting.
@Mike_Connor
@Mike_Connor 2 жыл бұрын
@@andrewhaywood1262 ChampCar had a separate International feed with different graphics and Englishman Jeremy Shaw doing commentary. I think part of the reason was that in the US, there are so many advert breaks - way more than what you would find in the UK, for example - it made sense to have continuous commentary throughout the race, rather than the silence in the breaks that we tend to get with coverage of American racing. I remember Jeremy inviting a young Formula Atlantics driver by the name of James Hinchcliffe to co-commentate on a race with him. He was such a natural, Jeremy had him back several times that season and he even did some commentary work with A1GP afterwards.

Look, I'm not saying there's a pattern, But Ian "H" Watkins, former singer with Steps, is apparently a pretty decent Bloke. Ian Watkins, former singer with Lost Prophets... Made Herb look like a saint. The H. It's fucking important.

When you are worse than Dr. Jac Miller, somehow...somehow. I mean that whole late 90s/early to mid 2000s IRL was full of either the big money teams, or the no names who were just there to make up the numbers. And yes I'm now wondering who, statistically, is /the/ worst IRL driver

WOAH. Was not prepared for the turn THIS tale took....good lord. No matter how cynical one gets, it never fails to boggle the mind the depths of depravity and cruelty human beings can sink to. And here I thought I was just watching a story of a laughably delusional failed IndyCar driver. And great drivers and more importantly (obviously) human beings like Dan W die on track instead of this monster. Man this world can be so damn depressing...

Dear Darian, you should consider making a video about Tony George. Do you think Tony George is the IndyCar racing community's version of Brian France? I mean I didn't doubt on early 2000s Indy Racing League, but people kinda think that he instigates the second American Open Wheel Racing Split back in mid-90s.
