This was not only the last race in Cleveland, but also the last IndyCar race that CBS has aired to date. With this upload, 2002 is the only year in the 2000s decade where CBS televised CART/CCWS in which IndyCar has not uploaded a race they televised.

I didn't remember that Sebastien played a role in Pag's career. I miss Cleveland. That wreck from 06 kind of looks like St Pete last weekend with cars going over each other.

Champ was doing standing starts. Anything to stay alive in the dark years. The cars started having less and less advertising on them. I miss this fast track!!

Miss the days of chassis development. Pinnacle was this year in the dp01. They should have kept this chassis instead of going with dallara. One step forward with the dp01 and eight steps backward with the current dallara design

I love mid Ohio and I think indycar belongs there. I am just hit with a wave of childhood nostalgia and memories of going to these races. I wish some form of racing would run Burke lakefront again.

You could make it work. You'd have to fudge the schedule a bit, but having both where one is early in the season and the other is late.

Not only should this track replace St. Pete on the calendar, but the thumbnail should be of the correct chassis, let alone race. C'mon, IndyCar, greatness is so close, why stumble?

Chassis in the thumbnail is a (correct) DP01 Champcar from '07. Track I'm not sure.

It was SUPER well attended! I ran there and live in Ohio. It had the best pre-race parade downtown too! We need this back on the calendar! The support race- the Neon Challenge was filled with A list tv and movie stars as a draw and it was fantastic! I judged a bikini contest with Mark Paul Gosselar and Alfonso Ribero. Dominos Pizza was sold on the back of a four wheeler driving around. The boats on Lake Erie and the scenic backdrop of the downtown skyline made it special. Yes it’s Ohio, no palm trees and Sandy beaches here, but the venue, with Trans Am and many activities for fans made it unique! I miss this event a ton, bring it back!
