2 different engine sounds, 2 different chassis. Bring this type of Indycar racing back !

I love watching IRL racing on the Texas circuit. Thanks Indycar for another great upload.

The race Bob Jenkins called instead of the Winston 500 at Talladega in the Cup Series on the same day. Exciting nonetheless, but nothing would have compared to him calling what turned out to be Dale Earnhardt's final win instead of Dr. Jerry Punch.

Jerry Punch doing the booth in the 1990s was much better than him doing the booth from 2007-2009.

1998 was the first time Indy raced at Atlanta Motor Speedway and lights were installed to race at night to help avoid the August heat and humidity...and that was the end of that.

Oh look Indycars on an oval I know they still race at Texas but the 2021 Indycar schedule is pathetic
@tommythetreat0003 жыл бұрын
What do you want IndyCar to do? Iowa is losing too much money. It doesnt help that NASCAR owns most ovals in the country and other places like Phoenix and Fontana had small crowds.

If only oval fans showed up to the races as much as they bitched about a lack of ovals online, oval racing would be in rude health atm

3:53 "FYI Buddy Lazier - *DALLAS* 2000" Looks like somebody at Delta Faucet or a graphic designer lost his/her job the Monday after the race....

Chaper cars and good racing AT OVALS.

Superfast, close and tight racing, but no fans in the stands. Meanwhile NASCAR was packing this place twice a year.

Yeah, but still much bigger crowd than modern Indycar with all of its "stars", if you could call them like that.

Texas only had one Cup race until 2004

@@adrianvelez3037 My bad. I remember it being a big deal when that track opened.

no fans? that looked to be plenty there. but i know nascar fans are literal mental deficients and thus if it isn't a sell out then the world is ending. this is almost certainly bigger then what they got in 2019 in both series.

@@xSoccerxCorex I went to Indycar in Atlanta in 1998 and there wasn't enough ticket sales for them to return. Since then they have torn down the back stretch and turn 3 grandstands and NASCAR still can't sell half of what's left. Interest in racing is way down across the board except F1. I hope Penske can keep Indy afloat as it has always had its challenges. I sure do miss the 90s when all motorsports were at their peak.
