Babylon has always exploited the talents of music for profit. The fact that brother Horsemouth hasn't made any money from film Rockers is a true testament to the hypocrisy of the film industry and everyone who is still banking from this film up to this day. Give this man the millions he deserves not just for his incredible performance not just for his culture impact of being a universal reggae icon of royalty always standing firm for H.I.M. and the truth of what is to become in the building of Zion but for his artistic expression of Jah Love for all. Jah bless you brother HorseMouth.

Rockers was a huge hit in the UK when it was released. It followed on from the hugely popular The Harder We Come. Although both were films that highlighted the injustice and oppression of the poor in Jamaica, the same message applies to all poor and oppressed people around the world. The message is the same as it's always been, but too many people are not interested and prefer to fight eachother instead of bring about more unity. The personality and creative ability of artists like Jimmy Cliff and Leroy "Horsemouth" Wallace were key in making those films so popular. Seeing all the other local extras and big reggae stars at the time were all featured in the film Rockers, which for me makes it my favourite of the two. Who can forget the roles played by Jacob Miller, Dirty Harry, Leroy Smart, Burning Spear, Gregory Isaacs, Dr. Alimantado, Dillinger and Big Youth to name just a few of them.
