Topo Designs here! The Tech Case fits my FT-818 perfectly with the internal Windcamp battery, some cables, and a tiny EFHW in a small Topo pouch clipped outside. And I'm in the process of squeezing an FT-891 into a Topo Quick Pack... even with a battery.

No way! I’d love to see that. The topo design bags are an essential part of my kit. I ended up with some random sizes now that are accessory and antenna bags, always in my truck. I have three of their small accessory bags hanging from the headrests in my car one is full of paddles the other audio cables. They do some awesome colors!

@@Utahforrest don't get too excited about the Quick Pack, though. It's not a great fit and I'm a little worried about the knobs pressed tightly on the side of the bag. But maybe I'll post a video or just send an email. Waiting for some wires and whatnot, so we'll see once I get it set up.

What would you know! My first go bag was also a fannie pack (it was a $15 Ozark Trail bag from Walmart) and consisted of a 20 meter QCX mini along with a K6ARK EFHW I put together.

I should’ve known you were a fellow fanny pack operator

You didn’t model it 😢. Got matching socks yet for the new colors!? I like both of the new color schemes

Could you make a video teaching exercises to practice CW? please
@Utahforrest3 ай бұрын
Oh man that’s a great idea! Idk if id be the best teacher. Here’s my advice: go to LCWO.net every single day and practice at 20WPM (3x spacing) until you pass all lessons with 90% accuracy. Anybody can start doing that today and you’ll be well on your way. The first lesson is distinguishing between “k” and “r”. Let me know how you do!!

Where did you get a cover for the CFT-1? Still trying to 3D print one from thingiverse.
@JonathanKayne3 ай бұрын
the cover is made by Joshua, N5FY over at tufteln. He sells them (and other covers for QRP radios) on his site. 73 DE KM4CFT
