I love this; Only problem with these is you'd need a vehicle large enough to transport the lattice...I don't think those would fit in my compass, especially not with the table and everything else gorgeous art, btw!
@ns81582 ай бұрын
I almost had this problem when I bought the lattice a few weeks ago! Fortunately it is pretty flexible. I was able to curl it up into a tube just big enough to fit in my back seat and it flattened right back out once it was uncurled. edit: I would add though, that the lattice I bought was not as tight of a weave. The stuff in the video might be too stiff for rolling up easily.

Thank you so much for this idea. I made it today for my greeting cards. I had a show last Saturday and it was so windy I was chasing things all over. This will also leave me more room on my tables. I make a lot of paper crafts and paper and wind don’t mix well. I also made it so that it can fold in half for easy transport. Thanks again.

With this method your cards didn't blow away? I couldn't catch what he was saying about fishing line - there there a line of fishing line holding the cards against the lattice? And/or the cards fit into a slot on the long horizontal end piece 'shelves'?

Love love love this. Fast and easy. I just saw Lattice at Lowe's and thought it looked so pretty. Now I know what to use it for! I have no idea what end caps are.... you said you hung them upside down on the Lattice with zip ties. Can you or someone please tell me what end caps are really used for ? Are they are Lowe's also? The fishing line is just tied into holes in the lattice panels.

Seems like the best, simplest idea out there; but the 4 x 8 plastic lattices at Lowe's are not light. Has the weight of all the panels together ever been an issue?

Hey Pat! Thanks for the video I def want to give this a try! The only thing I'm trying to think how to fix is the monofilament fishing line going across my artwork, as they are acrylic on canvas with no protection like yours. So I'm thinking it would rub the paint off. Do you have any solutions for this? I have some smaller paintings but most are 16 x 20 inches.
@gymnast1946 Жыл бұрын
Hi Kyle. I do have some acrylic pieces on canvas and haven’t had any problem with the monofilament which doesn’t put much pressure on the artwork. Good luck!

@@gymnast1946 Okay thank you for letting me know Pat! That was my man concern with the set up. Going to be using it for my first art festival this weekend! Thank you! and do you put anything behind your lattice to cut the wind more or no?

@@KyleGaineyGains Wind is always a concern. If anything, the lattice panels should be less affected by the wind than solid panels. Good luck with your first show!

At the 1:14 mark, I mention fishing line/monofiliment. I tie the line across the panel near the top of the artwork. I'll usually anchor it part way across.

What if your artwork is framed?
@robynlena83382 жыл бұрын
As long as the work is not too heavy~ I use this same idea and some of my art pieces are framed… I don’t use the end caps that he uses. I just attach my canvas to the lattice using S hooks and it works perfectly! I love the fact that it’s so so light to carry back and forth from my truck to my vendor space!
