I love this movie and was delighted to find your review (I love glam rock). Rhys Meyers was doing ROXY MUSIC songs, which is why the songs are so melancholy and brilliant. Honestly though Rhys Meyers was only like 19 when they made this film, which is amazing.

One of my favorite movies of all times! Citizen kane and 2001 a space odyssey follows. Brilliant music and great scenery/acting. It's a shame that the soundtrack, for some reason, is not available here in america, as well as the movie. I hope that will change in near future.

Just subscribed to your channel yesterday and I've got to say that your videos are very awesome! I recently became a fan of Todd Haynes' works after watching Velvet Goldmine and Superstar (his first short film about the Carpenters). Hope you'd make a video about Carol soon. I'd like to hear your thoughts about this film. (Also the other film of Haynes such as I'm Not There if that would be possible.)

Un personaje excelente es el lagarto 🐊 verde azul bisexual, que representa a ARLEQUÍN (actuando por un gran actor Jack Birkett, para hacerle tributo en Velvet Goldmine, trajeron el lagarto, pues en la obra teatral su cuerpo pintado y maquillaje lo convierten en el alterego de Brian Slade), que muere a manos de la espada de Pierrot, por culpa de la infiel Columbine. Es una obra de teatro en la cual trabajo David BOWIE 🎵 (Turquesa) junto a Lindsey Kemp y Jack Birkett. En la biografía de Kemp aparece que estuvieron juntos cinco años, pero los datos reales no revelan nada de eso, David anduvo con Hermione, con Mary Finnigan y luego con su futura primera esposa Angela para esas épocas.

Snarls, me thinks, warrant more attention - a technique with which I would normally disagree but then you did the review wearing those socks with that outfit and, well, herein the technique stands.

La película es un rompecabezas genial, tienes que conocer a los actores, tienes que conocer el papel que representan con su nombre, tienes que conocer los alteregos incrustados en cada rol, tienes que reconocer que en cada rol se incrustan cosas de la una realidad ficticia (varias personas en un personaje), por ejemplo en el de Curt Will, incrustan a IGGY, a Lou Reed, a Jaegger, a Ronno, posiblemente a Bolan, porque todos ellos fueron amigos o compañeros de Bowie en la realidad, tuvieron que ver con el glam de alguna manera, estuvieron cerca de él, pero por casualidad si tuvo intimidad sexual con ellos, sería el superhomre, porque con que tiempo se acostaría con todos y su realidad era con mujeres.

I knew Dancing In The Street was going to be the punch line.Fun fact that magnificent song/music video helped me awkwardly flirt with a crush I had as a kid.So more homosexuality ensued thanks to it.Velvet Goldmine is definitely glorious.I don't get the aversion therapy plot point either.To be fair I'd rather walk in on my son doing the weird shoulder wanking than doing a shitty New York accent and poor out of time dancing or being super angsty while needing a cough sweet.
