Now that the dlc has showed its face to the public again , and made FREE I finally got to play the dlc on this game after about 7 or 8 years. Like the one person said in this chat I do wish that Delsin would’ve put more excitement into it during or after learning about Cole. “Delsin: Ohhh yeah Cole McGrath! Yeah I’ve heard so much about him! I remember watching the news footage about him fighting the beast in New Marais about 7 years ago! He definitely impacted many conduit lives.” Or something like that. I would’ve loved to see Delsin’s reaction about Cole if it were done this way; maybe through a cinematic cutscene or something. But playing this game yesterday after so many years makes me miss the series. The lore that they could’ve expanded on this franchise.

The jacket was SO worth it. It is much more fun to run around Seattle with a cool jacket than the lame outfit Delsin has - All the other outfits (except maybe the DUP and the White Rabbit) are just the same outfit with a different stencil on his back. I think if everyone were able to play with the Cole jacket outfit they would have had a much better time with this game.

when the RFI was activated, it broke the conduit gene in all conduits deleting their fast-healing and basically exploded small parts of their organs (the organs part was a theory)

Cole was the one who activated the first bomb giving him his powers. However the bomb didn't just activate conduit genes. It spread a plauge that was killing people NON conduit people as conduits are immune to this plauge. Then there is this machine called the RFI machine it's like the opposite of the first original bomb instead of making conduits and spreading plauges. It kills them and stops the plauge. The beast. Is a conduit that could with a very specific power. He can activate the conduit genes the same way as original bomb. His plan was to make as many conduits as possible as conduits are immune to the plauge. But those who are unlucky enough in this case 99 percent of the world population that don't have the conduit gene. Is gonna be killed. In infamous 2 if you keep the good ending. Cole will end up activating the RFI machine. Killing himself, the beast and every other conduits at the time. So that's why people says that Cole ain't getting resurrected.

This entire game contradicts everything.. for starters Cole literally killed the conduit gene and conduits all together so it baffles me how some years later conduits are walking around and- wait for it MORE NORMAL THAN BEFORE. Like Cole literally wiped any trace of the conduit gene and or the plague which either killed non conduits or activated your conduit gene. Another problem is apparently nobody besides this dlc and some enemies who have really really really rare dialogue where they mention a “epidemic years ago” knows Cole exists and even those enemies don’t know who Cole is they just know some conduits fought. Fetch apparently was born like right before Cole destroys the conduit gene and the plague but she somehow survives- same thing with delsin.. shit makes no sense and don’t even get me started on August who just by being way older than those two by default should be dead.. They never even try to explain the shit just “hey new infamous game suck our dicks” like bruh It’s even worse when you find out they originally planned a story for after the evil ending of 2 but decided against it because.. wait for it THEY LOOKED INTO “RECORDS” AND SAW MORE PEOPLE PLAYED THE GOOD ENDING INSTEAD OF THE EVIL. Like really.. they wasted story because some people played a different ending..

Personally, I wish they'd just outright stated that they didn't kill all the conduits and gone with the X-Men/Mutant-esque elements of a powered subculture hunted by the government.

Obviously throwing a lightning grenade at street performers is pretty damn evil but when it came to main chocies some of them seemed grey, especially the ending. Like being able to fly 'limitlessly', infusing himself with that ability of his whenever he was turning on the power generators bacl in New Maris, or copy Kessler's Blink ability being able to pin point from one location to another).

Second Son follows the GOOD Cole storyline? NO! That makes no sense! How does an extinct gene come back? Why would people still be conduit fearing if they knew that Cole was a hero? Why was the Beast in Augustine’s backstory if she was in Washington and the Beast never left the east coast? If Second Son followed the evil cole storyline and the humans defeated Cole, THEN it would make sense that the conduits would still be here and would be thrown in jail, but no, they had to ruin the timeline didn’t they?

Chase Green not trying to brag, but my original theory made more sense: That Cole as the Beast was finally killed by the humans and exploded into Ray Field energy activating conduits but also giving them the ability to transfer their powers. Augustine then used this to transfer her powers to her DUP troops. Destroyed theories aside, the developers actually put out a statement before the game’s release explicitly saying they would NOT have characters from the previous installment, even mentioning Zeke by name saying he couldn’t be in the game because “this is Delsin’s story.” Guess that all went out the window!

Infamous Second Son was honestly such an Amazing game for being one of the first to release on the Playstation 4. Graphics were good, game mechanics were smooth and comfortable, and the story was honestly just amazing. And don't get me started on the paper trail adventure. Sure you could have looked at a walkthrough to get through most of it. But the more you progressed in it, the harder it got, to the point were you got to sections where you were given a code unique to you, meaning walkthroughs at that point were pointless. So in a sense those who did complete the paper trail quest deserved the reward even if it wasn't anything too big or amazing like obtaining the girls paper powers. In the end, the game was fun, entertaining, and had me play for hours without boredom or problems, wish there were more games like this (and God of war 4) 👍

@@Jay-hb3ix I'm not gonna lie, it does contradict itself a bit... maybe a lot, but when playing it for the first time, the story really does well at making you feel for the character. I mean take the infamous route. When playing and choosing to be infamous, they really do paint Delsin as a villain, making him arrogant, rude, and kinda annoying. Going to the Hero route though makes more as someone to route for, sure he maybe cocky at times, but in a joking or slightly funny matter. And near the end when his brother died, it just kinda makes you feel bad, not just for Delsin but for the fact that he basically took his brother for granted. I personally loved the game, and hey even if other's disagree that's cool. I think the most important thing that we can all agree on though is that infamous second son was a WAYYYY better game that was first introduced to Ps4 then Knack. Knack was honestly kinda... bland 😅

Old comment but I had only played second son when it came out not knowing anything about the series I just play infamous 1 and as of this comment finished infamous 2 like 5mins ago and wow does it kinda make me not like this game anymore and all I could think was “why tf are we in Seattle?” Like obviously empire city is a fictional New York City and in infamous 2 it was a fictional New Orleans and then second son it’s just Seattle… debating if I wanna try second son again or not tbh bc infamous 1 and 2 totally blew my expectations amazing games
