@@mohitgoenka99 Mohit sir, I have a small doubt- has there ever been a quention in JEE Advanced where finding euivalent mass involved some integration?? Just asking because on seeing the formula mentioned in the start I was a bit daydreaming about integration being used in this process (but I guess even this daydream is a probable type of question) PS: btw, please address me as Sam... It's my mom who finds these videos of yours and many such trainers (though I'm already in Brilliant Study Centre, Pala, Kottayam, Kerala) on YT for revision purposes

Why do Indians always say for division "by"? T by 4 means T multiplied by 4, because "by" by itself mean "next to". T over 4 means T divided by 4.
@arushchopra1051 Жыл бұрын
Actually by has various definitions ,in this case it is "through using something " Eg- Will you be paying by cheque This house is heated by electricity .....
@arushchopra1051 Жыл бұрын
And even during multiplication indians say 4 multiplied BY 2 ... It's just what we are taught from our childhood.
@PhysiKarlz Жыл бұрын
@@arushchopra1051 Words which have several definitions have such in different contexts, not the same context, such as mathematics. If I say "4 by 4", every e nglish speaking country except for India would understand "4 multiplied by 4" because the context has one definition. This is why this use makes no sense to me.
@mathsciencesimplified7 ай бұрын
@@PhysiKarlz I don't think it will cause any problem tbh
@PhysiKarlz7 ай бұрын
@@mathsciencesimplified Again, using two different definitions in ONE context is indeed problematic. "4 by 4 is equal to..." 1 and 16 simultaneously when you don't care about the usage of definitions in correct contexts.
