The main concept behind this is that sigma (power for internal forces) is zero. Power = T.v . Solve it by Sachin's method After that you will get v and if you differentiate wrt time u will get the acceleration..

Two cars A and B are moving towards each other on a straight road, with speed 50m/s and 100m/s respectively. A mosquito moving with constant speed of 150m/s, starts after biting driver of car S and moves towards driver of car B bites him and comes back of car A, bites him and again continues moving to and fro and biting them. Find distance travelled by mosquito till the cars collide, if the initial seperation between them is 1 KM .

Sir just wanted to add something If the string is not roatating that means the string is not changing its position and is only going up and down on the pulley then you can use the formula £T.a but if the string is covering a distance say x in horizontal direction then this formula is not applicable then for acceleration you will have to differentiate the formula £T.v

Thanks a lot! It works amazingly! But i would like to know 2 things: 1. Why does this technique work? 2. Is this technique universal? I mean can it be used in every possible situation? One more thing i noticed is that, even if some pulley system is not accelerating, but rather moves with a constant velocity, we can apply the same technique by doing Sigma T•V=0, and find the velocity relations.

One question keeps bugging me. When u r attaching all the pullies to the wall then how are they gonna be in motion? The summation is 0 only because the the pullies aren't moving. The difference is done to get a result of DX/DT which is equal to 'v'. Let's say the main pulley has a velocity of 'v' or acceleration of 'a'. Then the result would be Length of the pulley string is always constant V(pulley)=(v1+v2)/2 a(pulley)=(a1+a2)/2
@VandanaSharma-hm4ty5 жыл бұрын
@ohyeah ohyeah dude the string is open from one end and you have to pull the string so that it causes some initial tension and then the blocks with the mass m can move
