The songs original vocals gave me a sense of Infinite’s bravado and arrogance. Milky’s vocals on the other hand left me a with sense of Infinite’s desperation and vulnerability. I enjoyed the juxtaposition.

You know, these lyrics mentioning pain seems to imply that Infinite's still affected by the loss of his squad. If this game was properly written, maybe Shadow could have seen his past self from SA2 in Infinite, having lost people dear to him, closing himself from everyone, thinking he's better than all of them and wanting give the pain the world inflicted on him back to the world. In this way, Shadow would understand what Infinite is going through and could try to help him see that life is not over, that this is not all there is. He knows better than anyone that it's hard to move on and be happy, but that it's what they would have wanted. It would have been better than Shadow beating him up, calling him weak and pathetic, and then leaving.

And so, he decides to become the final product. Mephiles, or at least his creation, the Phantom Ruby, has his eyes on him.

Awesome to still see Sonic Forces getting some love. I absolutely love Infinite's theme but there were almost NO female covers for it. I literally could only find one by *Emuemi.* Which was a really good piano symphony. So I liked that one. So thanks so much for this orchestra cover of one of the best Sonic songs made! 😊
