Mario Kart doesn't just use speed for rubber banding - power ups also used for rubber banding. The further behind the player in first place you are, the better power ups you will get. Prevents players from getting too far behind and ending up in a truly hopeless situation, as you have a high chance of getting something like a Bullet Bill that can catch you up to the rest of the pack.

Also - another trick I've seen, especially in games like Left 4 Dead, is spawning enemies outside of the camera. That way, they don't pop in visually which can be jarring - also with a game like Left 4 Dead, contributes to the atmosphere because danger is always lurking around you just out of sight.

There's also things, like cut-off scenes in video games, for example: in FNAF 3, you play as a security guard monitoring an amusement park based of of the Freddy Fazbear's Pizza called Fazbear's Fright. And at the same building, they salvaged what they could from many pizzerias but you're not alone, they salvaged a possessed Spring Bonnie suit known as Springtrap comes after you, and if Springtrap is somewhere near your office, he'll appear at the office window right in front of you, but if you look away from him, he'll move away and if you go deep in the code, you get to see Springtrap's full animation render, which involves him walking to the left, his whole body is moving (except his legs) makes sense because why animate the legs, if you can't see them.

One of my favourites is when the ship or monster or character shrinks as they move further away, as opposed to rendering the character far away. I have seen this in a lot of FPS games and other games. Watching aship shrink away is always really funny if you can find it later all tiny. Weirdest version of this though was the King Kong game from like a decade ago... where I think it was bugged because the bat creatures looked huge. you would kill them, approach their corpse and it would be tiny on the ground lol.

Three games that immediately come to mind when talking about using elevators to mask loading times are Rage 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Jedi Fallen Order. Rage 2 did a particularly bad job of doing this so it was obvious that it was masking load times

this happened to me on a shooter. when i shot a NPC on 1 hp it told me it did 5 damage and killed him. but when i got shot with the same attack on 1 HP it took 6 shots to kill me the game is called plants vs zombies battle for neighborville besides that its super fun you should play it😃pls

After playing Breath of the Wild for over 450 hours. Here are some more logic that don't make sense in breath of the wild. 1-Shields don't break when parrying, you can parry a lynel crusher with a Pot shield and it doesnt break 2-When weapons break, they all break as if they are made of ancient(Guardian) materials 3-You need to Heat Melons to get Heat resistance. 4-The Gerudo that blocks your path is dehydrated so she wants to cool, but the desert at night goes down below freezing point. 5-In the Faron Woods you hear Monkeys, but they are not there. 6-If it becomes cloudy when you are in a place that becomes cloudy, the places the don't becomes cloudy appears to be cloudy. Example, If you are in Akkala and it thunderstorms, death mountain appears to be cloudy and having thunder even though Death Mountain never receive thunder or becomes cloudy when you are there. 7- Link gets cold below 0C and becomes dehydrated above 39C, however when link equips cold weapons at 0C he doesn't get cold, and when link equips a hot weapon in 39C he doesn't feel dehydrated 8-The coldest temperature in Breath of the Wild is -63 C (maybe), but that's just a number since any temperature that goes below -11C will be the same -11C for Link. 9-There are red leaves scattered in Hyrule, but the only way to remove them is to hit them not to use Korok leaf. Its weird considering that in the Wind Waker you remove red leaves when a using Giant Leaf. 10-The Memories and the Past Pictures that are in shiekah slate are supposed to be before Calamity takes over, yet they appear as they are in ruins in the same way as the present. 11-The Flower lady becomes mad at you for stepping on the Flowers and even harms Link, but when Chuchu Arrives and steps on the flowers she doesnt harm them she just runs.(On my playthrough, she herself ran into the FLOWERS😂) 12-In Lakeside Stable in Faron Woods there are some people who say they want to see dragon if its real, but Farosh Dragon always pass through the bridge next to them. 13-When you wear Bokoblin Mask, the monsters that are not Bokoblin dont recognize you as a bokoblin. 14- When you wear Bokoblin Mask, and Bokoblins thinks you are one of them. When one gets hurt by accident they instantly know that you are not one of them.

Don’t know if it’s a "lie" but in some games (like age or calamity and BOTW) if you loose all your health in one hit but you had full HP, the game will leave you with one HP to prevent one hit kill at full health.

Have you ever heard of Sonic 1 forever, Sonic 2 absolute and Sonic 3 A.I.R.? Forever and absolute are fan made ports from the mobile versions of these games but even better. You Can customise how you want the game to be like adding the spin dash and the drop dash to Sonic 1 as an example. Sonic 3 Air is a wide screen version of Sonic 3 but it uses the engine from the origanel Sonic 3. Like forever and absolute you Can customise how you want the game to be. Those are the best versions of these games and i Highly reccemond them
