I bought SPL for $285 because I heard some SPC Camber arms were bending and even breaking,but this is a good video thanks for sharing
@MotordyneG357 жыл бұрын
Justin Connell .....SPL is top shelf no doubt. These were $180 and that was the old design with the issue. You can tell the difference with new design, it is much beefier. I read that too about SPC breaking. I also got the front SPC arms and they too had issues with the ball joint coming out on the old design. If you used the OEM nut you were fine, but if you used the nut supplied by SPC on hard bumps the ball joint was coming out. That is a huge problem!!! The new revised version also fixed this issue and they also changed the design, which I installed. Good looking out and thanks for the feedback. How do you like the SPL's?

I've done this on other cars...you don't have to grind out the hole to an oval. The adjustability is in your new adjustable camber bar. Just turn it with an open ended wrench and your done. Not trying to be a dick...just trying to ease the every 20,000 mile alignment headache. And for anyone reading this....some alignment shops won't touch a car with aftermarket adjustable suspension components. Buyer be aware 👍

Thanks! Very Helpful. I have been dealing with my 350Z eating tires for the past 10 years, but after I lowered it on coilovers, the inner tire wear went from bad to worse on both front and rear tires. I have a 3/32" difference from inner to outer tire wear. I ordered the race version of the rear camber arms and front upper control arms from Z1-Motorsports & got the SPC toe bolts. I really hope this solves my tire eating issue. I get about 3000 miles out of a set of tires. I was 'just dealing with it' because I can get a set of near new tires for around $400 for all four, but 3000 miles is absolutely ridiculous. I will be happy once I can finally, finally put this issue to rest. Fingers Crossed. This has by far been the most ridiculous issue i've ever had to deal with on any car i've ever owned.
@talamook6 жыл бұрын
Yes! I've replaced the Front Facing FWD Lower Control Arms TWICE now. The entire arm(on both sides) were smashed to one side and the bushings totally destroyed hanging by a wing and a prayer. Tirerack did a comprehensive test on the effects of running directional tires backwards and it was hardly noticeable on the track so I be swapping my tires 9 ways to Sunday, anything to eek a little more life out of them. :)

@koachs772 жыл бұрын
They make lockout kits for this , with a .5 plus or minus , or just a straight lockout , the more you lower your car the more toe in you get , they should really make 1.0 +/- , i got both , was getting tire wear on the passengers rear tire , on the inside , so i put the ones that offset to the toe-outside , i think Z1 sells them , nice hack though , but , those round things move , mine don’t

By you changing everything far as the factory settings how does the car handle now due to fact that you made some changes and how is your tire wear
@MotordyneG357 жыл бұрын
From the factory, the OEM sports package handles pretty good and rides nice. No doubt about it, KW v3's ride better than OEM in terms of comfort and the car is for sure more planted in high-speed corners. I'll find out how my tires wear now with the front and rear camber kits installed, being able to get the car in spec for alignment now should slow down inner tire wear. On my front tires it was ridiculous, there is like 6/32nd's tread on the outside and bald on the inside with threads showing

How is camber kit different from spacers? I don't anything about cars sorry if that's a stupid question
@MotordyneG356 жыл бұрын
Spacers are strictly cosmetic and serve no purpose other than for looks. They actually increase the likely hood of a tire coming off, I do not recommend spacers. Camber kits are used for alignment and allow more adjustability to keep tires from wearing out on the inside.
@somasrikanth89346 жыл бұрын
Thanks for replying. Can I get the same looks with camber kits?
@MotordyneG356 жыл бұрын
No, the looks come from getting the correct offset with your rims. If your offset is not correct, people use spacers. Plenty of people use spacers, I just prefer not too.

Werd. I'm running 285's Pilot SS, getting expensive! I'm lost on the camber issue. You have one camp saying tire wear another camp saying performance. I think it just sucks because a staggered and directional tire = no rotations. Oh well, still a cheaper car than a money pit wrx!!!!
